Trick or Treat

This is a Halloween card from Me to you (blogland)...I hope you like it..Happy Halloween.......ENJOY!!!!!

I used the Spooky Hallow Damien dig from Simply Betty Stamps...printed, cut out and added pop dots behind some of it....the frame and greeting were cut from water color paper on my Expression...and I can't even remember which carts they are from...sorry about that....but I think they are from Happy Hauntings....that's what's in the machine...lol....bottle caps are from Lil Davis Designs...colored everything in with distress inks.....
I added black stickles to the words to have them stand out abit more..... and yep, you see it...lol...I bowed out the top portion of the frame once again...I bet you all are getting tired of seeing this, aren't you....but I am so addicted to this little added dimension...it's FREE and EASY to do to your cards....and it gives them so much more than if you would just use pop dots or even leave your pieces flat....what do you think? ************************** Well that's all I have for now....I have another post coming later tonight for the DudeTime Doodles blog hop tonight...so be on the look out for that as well.....Hugs from a windy Charm City....

Paper Cubed and 12 Days of Halloween on SBS

WOOT WOOT!!!! Happy Friday blogland.....now normally I don't use the same project for more than one DT challenge, but I just had to use this one for P3 and 12 Days of Halloween at SBS..so I made this one extra special since it was for two challenges......
*************************************
For the month of October The Burtonesque Dolls and Simply Betty Challenges will come together for this event. There will be a total of 12 challenges, and you will submit your entry at the Simply Betty Challenges blog. You will have just one Day... that's right one full day to complete the day's challenge. The girls and myself will start to vote on the favorites of the day. On the next Day of the 12 days of Halloween the top 12 will be announced, now that doesn't mean that only 12 can enter the next challenge... the next challenge we will once again choose favorites, but this time only 11 will be chosen. That means that someone from the 12 will be eliminated... but again it doesn't mean that you can't participate again because in the next challenge you may bump someone off again. At the end, there will be just one standing! That one person will win the whole SHEBANG! What is the whole Shebang you ask? Well, each day will have a new prize, you won't win that prize on that day instead it will start to pile... and pile and pile until the prize consists of 12 fabulous prizes all together! How's that for a SHEBANG! Just to give you a little more umph the prizes will contain Rubber Stamps, Paper Lines, BRAND NEW SPELLBINDERS, Copics, and lots more goodies! I will make sure to upload a picture of each prize each day to inspire you to continue onto the next challenge just a few days later! So with all that said... let's get started... On the First Day of Halloween My Ghould love gave to me... One smiling Skellington Head! Your challenge is to incorporate one or more Skelletons on your cards or project. Pretty Simple eh? Okay here is the hard part... you have until October 2nd Todays Prize: Three Clear Stamps from the Hebbie Jebbies line by We R Memory Keepers
**********************************************************
This month at Paper Cubed--the challenge was to use Acetate...now how fun is that...and the first thing that came to mind was to make some sort of a candy dish/box.....well I started out to make a bag, but this ended up being a recipe box.....and I cut a window in the center to show case the chocolate pieces....lol....nothing like temptation, wouldn't ya say?......ENJOY!!!!!
We were asked to make something with skeletons on the first day of Halloween over at SBS..... Now I really have to say that I truly love how this project turned out. The skeleton motorcycle stamp is from Class Act which I stamped it onto a piece of grunge paper, tree -- cut from my Expression, and a bunch of ribbon/ danglies from craft store....I made this box from cardstock...I don't have the dimensions...sorry....
here's the inside....I thought of adding the answer to the question on front here, to make it Little more fun......now isn't this just the happiest skeleton you've ever seen....he just makes me smile every time I use him....Skeleton is from Stamp It Crazy......
this is just a side view....you can see the pom pom and beaded trims I used at the top...
here's a view with a big bag of Hersey Kisses inside...
***************************
Thanks for stopping by today....make sure you stop over at P3 and the 12 Days of Halloween to see what the rest of the ladies have created for you.....have a wonderful Friday....hugs from a very soggy Charm City....

All About Betty Blog Hop

ALL ABOUT BETTY BLOG HOP The gals from The Burtonesque Dolls, Simply Betty Stamps and Simply Betty Challenges blogs figured it was a good time to put together a blog hop of our very own: SIMPLY BETTY. This hop is ALLLLLLLLLLLLL about Betty and since October is Betty's favorite month and there are sooooo many exciting things happening, why not do it just before?!! This way we can get things warmed up for the whole October and Halloween theme. Kinda like an appie!! And since Halloween is her favorite time of year you will be seeing mostly, if not all Halloween cards and we have used only Betty Emo's images. Dear Miss Betty Boo---Thank you for supporting me in my endevours...You have inspired me, encouraged me and you are one of my cheerleaders that keeps cheering me on........thank you for being you....you are AWESOME!!!! Not to mention your images....they RAWK girlfriend!!!! Just like you!!! Now give me my presents....lol....just kidding...enjoy your hop girlie....
For my card I used the Emo Halloweenie Lola Mummy....isn't she just darling? Almost as darling as our Betty is to all of us....I paired her up with My Pets B B and the pumpkin from London Pumpkin....the background is from Make it Crafty and for the life of me, I can't remember where I picked up this cuteness of a car....please for give me....I know this turned out way darker than I had expected, but I kind of like it....The photo is bowed out like I do my greetings....but this one I kept the greeting flat.....colored all images with distress inks and added stickles....

here's just a closer view of the photo.....oh, I also printed out Lola, cut her out and pop dotted her onto of the one printed off into the scene....you can kind of see what I'm talking about.... Without further ado, let's check out some more inspiring and creative cards from all the ladies. Please note because this is an appreciation blog hop there are no prizes. It's just for fun but the ladies wouldn't mind some luving from you anyway!! Your next stop is the lovely Catherine's blog!!! TBD Challenge #19 Trick or Treating

WOOT WOOT!!! It's another week over at TBD...and that means a new challenge....it's Trick or Treating in Burton's Neighborhood....and to me, that means something funky....so here I used one of Simply Betty Stamps digi's My Pet's B B ....isn't she just darling....ENJOY!!!!! this is a wooden clipboard that I have had for about 2 years now, maybe even longer...it's been up on the shelf in a basket until about a month or so back....then it sat on my bench here waiting for some loving...lol..... I used Tim Holtz birdcage with grungeboard, covered it in black stickles, cut away a couple of the bars and rolled them to the top and added those darling Skullz....I used the iron fence MS border punch, the weird dots embossing folder, chipboard numbers and letter from Lil Davis Designs, chain I aged it in some concoction and splats and trick/treat are from Recollections. I colored everything in with Distress inks....
just a frontal view.... ohh there's my little skull bead at the top hanging down to....I just love those little fella's... a closer view of little Miss BB...doesn't she have such character...I just love that face she has....and there are those awesome skullz from Glo...you can purchase those in the store at Simply Betty Stamps to.
here's the back view...it came with this little dowel so you could stand it up.....does this photo look familiar? It was the sneak peek I posted the other day....this is the finished product from those photos.....I hope you've enjoyed this little project as much as I had making it.......
*****************
Well make sure you stop over and see what the rest of the Dolls have made for this challenge....We would love to see you join in this week to....Hugs from Charm City....

HDH056 - Monochromatic Monstrosities

This is my second post for today...
Here's my entry into the Macabre Monday challenge over at Haunted Design House.....They want to see the grotesque and the monstrous, and we can only do it in shades of only one color. here's are the shades you can choose from-----black/grey, green, orange, or purple. No I have to tell ya that this is my third project for this challenge....I really wanted to make something with color to it, but the other two projects came out pretty damn crappy....so they ended up in the thank you for coming pile....lol.......ENJOY!!!!!

this is actually a paper mache vase that I converted into a piece of Halloween decoration....I first painted it with white and black acrylic paint to make it gray...then using one of those trusty dusty stencils that belongs to DD, and stenciled in the brick background with black soot distress ink.....then lightly went over it with water to make it look aged....I used Vampire Christian from Simply Betty Stamps new release, cut him out added pop dots and kept it simple at the bottom only using the goo MS border punch......

this is what I did to the top to hide that it was a vase...cut a piece of cardstock to fit but I didn't glue it in...I left it so that flowers could be added if wanted to....I'm really on this roll with the webbing this year....don't know why though.....
and here's just a side view.....hope you've enjoyed this little project....come on over and play along...there's still a little bit of time left......Hugs from Charm City and as always, thanks forstopping by.......

Today is the new release from Miss Betty over at Simply Betty Blog . She is releasing a new set of digi's at Simply Betty Stamps called Emo Holloweenies....I don't know about you, but when I first set eyes on these darlings (the new Halloweenies), I knew they were for my collection....
**************************************
Well the challenge is to make a Halloween card in one day that uses any of her stamps not related to Halloween......On the card below I used Summer Christian.....ENJOY!!!!!!
****************************

I know, he doesn't look spooky enough....but what I was actually thinking was, "to cute to spook" for a greeting...but instead I went with T or T.......lol....doesn't he look the type though...to cute, PLEASE!!!...I've known some of those in my days.,.....Anywhooooo, I printed off the little guy on the surfboard twice and added pop dots behind him so he would have more presence....you know how the little guys always get lost in the background......I also added some white highlites to the branches and pebbles......I used distress inks, stickles water color paper, greeting & bat are from Recollections, web corner from inkadinkado, branches & pebbles from Stamp Scapes, palm digi unknown....bottom border from tearing the paper from the pad....it's all about going green....

TBS Challenge #18 Burton's School of Ghouls

Burton's School of Ghouls... what would that be like huh? A Private school for all those fun ghouls and boys Burton style.....Simply Betty Stamps are sponsoring us over at Burtonesque Dolls blog this week. So pop over and check out what the rest of the dolls made....ENJOY!!!!!! Here I used Rio from the Emo Back to School digi set. Isn't she just darling with that big 'ol bubble? It so brings back high school memories. I actually made this into a survival school kit. It opens up to reveal 4 tubes (Martha Stewert), 2 of them have those Razzles bubble gum and 2 of them have those little candy coated chocolate balls. What girl doesn't want to have choco choco at school along with her bubble gum....lol....I also used the school's out digi from Tiddly Inks....Martha Stewert border punches, paper from DCWV, and colored in the images using distress inks......
here's a side view....you can either open it by lifting the top portion up and just untie the black and white ribbon....
and here's the inside....EK web punch......no measurements, I just winged it and laid my tubes down onto a piece of printer paper to make a template first then I went back and cut it out of the pattern paper.....I seem to do this alot......
********************************
Well that all I have for this post....my post for Paper Take weekly will be posting soon, so make sure you stop back and check out the challenge for that one.......until then, hugs from Charm City....

Paper Take Weekly Photo Inspiration Challenge

This week we are being sponsored by Wiff of Joy at Paper Take Weekly . The photo below is what you need to use to make a project/card for this week's photo inspiration challenge. I tell you, I had alot of fun. I have always stayed away from this type of challenge because I never knew if I was doing it right or not. But this week, I jumped right in and just went with what ever came to mind......ENJOY!!!!!!
Now look at this photo....bright and cheery, not to mention very colorful. But what I took away from this photo was the way the pillows/shape and the tray were positioned. Although one of the pillows is a little wonky, I didn't do that with my project......and I used the color purple.....
And here is what I came up with....a Big sized candy bar wrapper for Halloween using one of those darling digi's from Simply Betty's new line of Punky Teens. This was such an easy but fun project to make.....paper is from DCWV--distress inks and stickles.....
here's what is looks like with the candy taken out....well that all I have for today.....make sure you stop over at Wiff of Joy and check out their shop. They really have some darling stamps and other goodies in their store. Then stop back by Paper Take and check out the other designers creation and see where their creativity went with this photo....Have a great Tuesday...Hugs from Charm City.....

My inspiration came from the movie Alice in Wonderland. I haven't seen the movie yet ( I know, I'm such a bad Doll) but I have watched movie clips and searched for photos for inspiration. I really loved how the Red Queen looked so I wanted to use her. I truly love this get up that she wears....not to mention "red" is my favorite color..... isn't she just so serious, not to mention punchy in the above photo....gotta love that hair....lol....I don't think I could have lived back in the Victorian age...they wore to many clothes and lived with no air conditioner....

Macabre Monday--Freekers Free for All--Late

Happy new week blog-land....once again, where did last week go....I tell ya, ever since I got older, it seems like time just flies by.....anywho, onto my card I made for the Macabre Monday challenge. This was the first time that I was able to make a card for this awesome challenge blog at which I'm late for...... I just found them not to long ago (thanks Creepy)...and have been mesmerized ever since.....so pop over and check out the creations on this blog....and look at the DT's work...it will just blow you away........Enjoy!!!!!
I just love these darling vampire images from Simply Betty Stamps. But instead of printing and cutting them out like I normally do, I opted to combine these two images (using microsoft word) with a background image (bonnie background) from Digital Delights. I really don't care for the end result though....I liked it up until my sky in the background got to dark with me over working the distress inks....but oh well...and I thought these images were great together as a "we moved" card.....I guess I'll just have to try it again sometime.....
here is a closer view of the flower tag with my skull beads...I soo love these little guys...lol.................
...........................................................................
Well I hope you get a chance to stop over and check out the challenges (I know I will be)...but make sure you stop at Simply Betty Stamps and Digital Delights also to see what they offer.......have a great Monday...Hugs from Charm City
