Tiddly Inks Christmas-Holidays or a Wintery Scene Challenge

Happy wet and raining Saturday morning peeps...it's such an aweful day outside, so I thought I'd play in my playroom today...I really should be getting Christmas decorations out, but it's just one of those days. You ever have one of those? I've been having major problems with blogger lately. I can't seem to upload photos to blogger using IE...so after, seems to be a long time, I think I figured out how to get around it by using google chrome. I'm not to sure if I like it, but at least I can upload photos to get them up on my blog....any-whoooo, today I have some cards I made for the challenge over at Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog...it's their last challenge of the year.....ENJOY!!!!!!

Here is Mr. Sid in all his glory....images are from Tiddly Ink Store...MS punches...EK leaf punch..Sizzix tree die..for the life of me I can't remember who the paper is from...I colored all in using distress inks and added a layer of Stickles...the snowflake in corner I wrapped some MS twine around it....

here's the inside.....here I used another image from Tiddly Ink Store....what I pictured with this joke was Sid (on front) was all infested with "polar"oids..that's why he was so huge...lol....and then you open the card to a smaller snowman after he had gotten his issue taken care of and went back down to normal...ha ha....
*************
I used more stickles...distress inks...border punches....tree die...
******

ok here's another joke card I made using a different snowman from Christy's collection over at Tiddly Ink Store.....I think this one is my fav snowman so far....I used white glitter paper for snow border...cut the trees out from paper collection (at which I can't figure out who's it is)...colored in images with distress inks...stickles...Recollections glittery ribbon...
ok ok...I know this isn't a Tiddly image...but I just couldn't resist adding a Simply Betty stamp on this card to...he just fits so well...here I let the paper do the scene,...another dollar store plastic snowflake cut in half....rubber stamped the greeting and bird...wet embossed them using embossing powder...distress inks for coloring and of course another layer of stickles....

*******
now how cute is Bot? I absolutely just love the Bot Family that Christy has over  at Tiddly Ink Store....and this little darling is no exception....I decided to make a stand alone card....I printed this out onto a 8 1/2x11" size of water color paper...cut out...then cut layer after layer after layer after layer...ha ha ...no but there is alot of layers in there with one of them being a layer of chipboard....I also use wet glue for each layer,,,this just gives it more sturdyness...I used disteress inks for coloring...stickles and added some lights hanging from his antlers.....

just a side view

here's the inside greeting ...just a simple one...rubber stamped and added EK leaf punches behind it with a few pearls....
**********
Well this is all I have for this Saturday morning...I do hope that you come and play along with the lovely Inksters over at Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog....they would love to have ya for the last challenge of the year.....and now that I think I have figured out my puter issues I do have more projects to share that I've been working on too...So make sure you stop on back in a couple of days...I'm even trying to get a goodie package together for a give away....and let me tell ya, I have been purging my playroom to...so the mound keeps getting bigger and bigger....I hope you all have a wonderful and sunny day....Hugs from a very wet Charm City.....

CLP Sketch Challenge #43

Good morning blogland...it's been quite awhile since my last visit. As you know, I am in the process of purging...our "stuff" that we have acquired over the years. So this past year I have been purging, painting and redecorating. Not to mention the countless hours I did on the landscaping last spring and summer. Well since the holidays, I have come down with pneumonia and it's been quite a show stopper. These past few weeks there's been nothing but misery. But as I sit here typing, I do see light at the end of the tunnel. Thank Goodness!!!!
*************************
I wanted to tell everyone that I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday and all is well with you and your families. We had a wonderful holiday to. I have missed everyone so much. And do hope to be able to play more with challenges....and I do have some exciting news coming soon. So stay turned for further details....
*************************
Yesterday I was over peeking at Eulanda's blog and drooling over all of her creations and seen a post for CLP's sketch challenge. I went over and got the sketch and decided to play...yah!!! If you only knew how long it's been since I've been in here to play in my room....it's a fun sketch, so hop on over and play along this month....ENJOY!!!!!
Here I used a kit that I had put together awhile ago and had in my to do box. I have wanted to play with these images like forever...They are from BoniBleaux Designs .....I'm sorry I don't have a direct link, but go and check out the digi's that Miss Boni has there....
**********************
paper from Basic Grey--Distress inks--KI quote and metal hinges (I do believe)--Making Memories brads--and just some netting off of my tiki bar....
here's the inside....this quote I thought fit the image....doesn't he look guilty...of something...lol....Karen Foster bull--Making Memories frame--Jolee's Boutique owl...
*******************
Well I do hope to start visiting all my peeps here....thank you for being such an inspiration to me. If you get a chance stop over at CLP and play along this month with the sketch.......Hugs from Charm City.....

Tiddly Inks Anything Goes Challenge--Ornament Gift Box

Well-- How the hell has everyone been? It's been months and months since my last visit to my playroom to play.....I have been so busy with redoing the inside of our house from top to bottom--head to toe--purging--painting and redecorating that I just haven't had time to play. But I made an executive decision to make a point to play this morning that I made a couple of projects for the challenge over at Tiddly Inks.... ENJOY!!!!!!
here I used a snowman from the inky critters collection ......paired it with the pie box from My Scrap Chic's 30 boxes and more cut files....I added a bunch of ribbon and some pom pom fringe around the side and made a clay tag from polymer clay to hang from the side....
just an open shot with the shredded stuff...don't think I'll like this stuff... here is the full on open view....I really need to add some cardstock to the inside just to cover up the print lines...this particular box I printed it out onto my cardstock and then used my scissors to cut it out. That's what I like about this place...they give you all sorts of options in one file on how you want to use them, instead of only one option. Print or cut...
Just a view of the back....the string is to hold the lid closed. I opted to make this into a hanging gift box to add to the tree so I needed some way to keep the lid closed....I just used 2 brads and a piece of twine....
Here's the second project for the challenge using snowman sid....just a quick card I made using some scraps from the box above....I also used the bracket card cut from the 30 boxes and more files from My Scrap Chic....the frame was cut using one from Pazzles....greeting and light from Studio G....
Well if you haven't already seen the collections that Christy has over at The Scrap Chic--Tiddly Inks for cut files. You should pop on over....they are soo adorable...and I knew I just had to have them. After all, paper piecing was my first love of paper arts...I did purchase the new release collection this morning for 60 % off....can you believe that...everything in the store is 60% off right now...and that my friend is a BARGAIN!!!! Remember these aren't just cut files, you can print and cut them out with your scissors as well.....go ahead, pop over and see what you've been missing....I did....lol....thanks Christy for such fun images to play with....I can't wait to use these.....

Well that's all I have for this time....I do hope to be back to a normal schedule...I have missed everyone so much these past few months and can't wait to make my way around to visit everyone....I hope that you all have a wonderful Sunday....Hugs from a very SWEET Charm City....

Tiddy Inks--Macabre Monday--PaperTake Weekly Challenges

Happy Sunday Peeps...So much has been going on here that I finally broke down and took some time for myself yesterday and this morning.....so this will be a quick post, but I will come back later to fill in the details on how I made this. So if you're interested, please stop back later.....ENJOY!!!!!!
I needed something for my front door and this is what I came up with...I made it for the following challenges.....3 of them...can ya believe it...I'm lucky just to make something, let alone it fit for 3 challenges.....wooty woot woot...lol.....
***************
Tiddy Inks--Good-Bye Summer--Hello Fall

Macabre Mondays--HDH105--P.M.S.

PaperTake Weekly--Anything Goes

this all started with the glitter alpha's...I was just going to make some little scored Florette's for the letters to sit on, but it ended up being quite a huge piece...

**************

to make the background medallion, I used 2 sheets of 12x12 cardstocks in 2 different colors/papers of choice...

cut 6x12

going across the top should be the 6" and down the 12"

now score every half inch

fan fold

glue all sides together to make this medallion

***********

images from Tiddy Inks. (tree-spider web backgound-christmas ornaments)...I used silver glitter (dry)--glitter glue and Distress embossing (weathered wood--fences)...red distress stickles for the hair...border punches (gooey-birds-fence)...alphas from ColorBok which I adhered to skewers and trimmed off....I really need to add some ribbon to them....and just added little dots of silver glue and added black pearls to go around the frame.....I colored everything in with distress inks...

just a closer shot... I really need to do something with the halloween ribbon...it's just not finished...lol....I popped the center frame up using poster board but I doubled the thickness....this gave me room for the skewers to stick into... I hope everyone has a wonderful sunny day...I'm off to make a cake and a pot of lasagna....and I'm behind...lol....I'll be back later to update....Hugs from a cloudy Charm City...

here I used an image from Kenny K-Anime Girl--colored her in with Prisma pencils--I also got to use the Skulz (from the eye popping line from Gloria--love your new stuff there girlie) pop dotted onto a bat sticker from Recollections--Inkadinkado greeting--Recollections for splat rubber stamp, skull and rhinestones--Making Memories metal moon--MS and EK for border punches--Deckled embossed die from Spellbinders--Pebbles Inc for paper...other sequins --front view-- here you can see that I bowed out the top border to give it some dimension...torn the paper and added a little stone for an accent... ***************** Well Peeps...I'm off and running for the day...we have a very busy one scheduled ahead of us...I hope everyone has a sunny day filled with alot of memories to cherish....Hugs from Charm City......

Tiddy Inks Simplify Challenge

Happy Thursday bloggers...It's such a pretty one here, but I do believe we are expecting some rain sometime today. We could use it though......anywhoooo, I would love to share a card I had made for Tiddy Inks Simplify challenge....make a one layer card...anyone who knows me, knows I just can't do one layer cards..I need "STUFF"...the more the better...*smile*...so this is my attempt at making a one layer card....ENJOY!!!!
Images I used were bathing beauty-- going swimming-- going swimming boy-- light my life--harmony border-- hoppy sleepy wishes (sentiment)-- cloudy with a chance of sun...the ones without links I think were freebies...I can't seem to find them in the store....
*********************
I wanted to try and make a 3-D look with a 2D feel...I used Microsoft Word to create my scene using all of the images. I started using the harmony border as a photo frame (kind of sorts)...I added an oval frame making the black outline at 3" to give it a frame...added the rest of the images inside and colored everything in using my Prisma pencils...I cut the image out and made a shaped card by just wet gluing the top tabs to back of card......it's alittle wonky, and the oval is off center, but I do love how it turned out for being a flat card.....
just a front view.....
here's the inside....I used StampScapes for the tiki huts and quote from Sweet Pea Stamps (plate 101)...MS border punch along with a EK circle punch for bottom corners.... just a side view.... *************************** Well I hope if you get a chance, and really want a challenge, this one's for you...stop on over and see what the team has created for this challenge...they totally knocked it out of the park (as they always do)....thanks girls for a great one this week...... ************ I hope everyone has a wonderful and sunny day.....Hugs from Charm City...

now look at this image....it's the mug o' ale image from Bonibleaux Designs...doesn't this just scream "manly"?...so the challenge this week is to use the inspiration photo make an easel card...it has to be a guy themed card to.....I forgot to upload the inspiration photo....just click and it will take you to it....it's a fun one...I used DCWV citrus papers--stickles--spellbinders dies--MS border punch and some pearls and honkin eyelets...lol....I have had this little quote on a sticky note for a month or so and thought it was perfect for this challenge with the mug....lol....but when you think about it, it is sooo true...lol....
lol...gotta love a cute quote that fits a man... here's a side view.....I kind of bent the die border in half to use as a stopper for the front of the card..... and here's a second card that's been sitting here trying to get some love from me....I just don't know if I can...I'm just not feeling it....I actually liked it until I added the silk ribbon with the flowers and such...oh well..it's a finished card.... ******************* Well that's all I have for today....I do hope that everyone has a sunny day and thank you so much for stopping in.....Hugs from a sunny Charm City.....

Good Monday Morn blogland....I am sorry to report that the Steeler's did not take another championship......boohoo....but on a lighter note, Green Bay really worked for it so therefore deserve it...Good Job Packers....WTG!!! But we will see you next year...well I hope anyways....2 years in a row for my number one and two teams...now that would be a statistic for the future.....
Anywhoo, I have a really quick post today (forgot to post this yesterday) using some free images from Graphics Factory....all you have to do is sign up and you get to get free images...just make sure you read their policy.......ENJOY!!!!!!!!
right now I am so hooked on cowboy/rustic type images....do you have a special someone that totally forgets about Valentine's Day? Well why not send him a friendly reminder.....lol...the little cupid image is actually the colored image that I lightly colored in with distress inks...the saloon and cowboy are black and white images.....Recollections border punch...I hung some doo dads on a swirl paper clip on the side and some rhinestones at the top with the greeting....
well that's it for today...I'm sorry I haven't made trips to see everyone, but I will soon....very soon.....I miss everyone.....and I want to say a huge thank you for stopping in....Hugs from Charm City.....

Tiddly Inks Kiss Me Challenge

Happy Super Bowl Sunday peeps...Today is "D" day....it's do or die for the Steeler's......Yah!!! I can't believe we actually made it this year to the SB...I am happy as flies on sh**....lol....not to mention, this year is extra special...my second team is Green Bay Packers....so that is a double whammy for me....wooty woot woot!!!!! So either way I win.,...but I am looking forward to the Steeler's taking their 7th Super Bowl.....wish them luck.....
So this week at Tiddly Inks, their challenge is to use the word kiss or a set of lips on your project......ENJOY!!!!!!!
I am so sorry for the photos of this card...it truly sucks....but you get the jest of my card.....here I used the Watts and Castle in the Sky and the scroll is from Graphics Factory...Tim Holtz key and key hole..and then I pulled more items from my stash....the flower is the center of a couple of paper doilies and just scrunched them up and added a clock face and stick heart pins....this is actually a slider scroll shaped card....
just another shot.... here's the inside...I used a free sentiment from Cindy Close..I am so sorry I don't have a direct link...I have searched and searched for it but I can't seem to find it.....
just a view of it opened apart....
closer of the contraption....Well that's all I have for today....make sure you woot woot for the Steeler's......LET'S GO STEELER'S....LET'S GO!!!!!! Have a Happy and Sunny Day!!!! Hugs from Charm City......

the house that LOVE built-- paperbag

Wooty Woot!! It's Saturday...it is abit dreary outside though, but at least I'm not out in it today....thank goodness...our weather here has been tremendous...as I'm sure it has been where you live....so what better way than to stay inside and play......I made this card for the challenges over at Kenny K's (my favorite things) and Stamp Something (use a digi)......ENJOY!!!!!
I just loved this image from Kenny K (Carmen Electrafying) ...it reminds me of DH's secret fantasy of me coming home with a stamp like this....well he is just going to keep it a fantasy cuz it ain't happening....lol...not that I'm against these stamps, but my body is...things have already gone south, so this would not be a good addition...get my drift...lol....I paired it up with a Magnolia Haunted House...I added MS punches (favorite things...lol)...and on the gate punch I embossed using Distress embossing powder....I just love this stuff..it gives it a sandpaper feeling....paper from Making Memories.....colored everything in using distress inks.... and here (left inside of card) I used Dr. Strange Glove (use a digi) from BoniBleaux Designs.....lol...isn't he just dawling....I remember a cartoon with the Flintstones that there was a DR. Love or something like that...they were held captive in a castle with these flying dino's...anyone else remember that segment of cartoons they had on....or am I the only weird one.....I so can't remember where I got this saying from...sorry....
and here's the other side.....here I used rubber stamps from Stamp Scapes (fir row--tree trunk trio--crooked path)....and Inkadinkado (rolling hills--camper).....I masked the images as I stamped them to make a scene.....my thinking was that the main house was the waiting room and then when you went in to see Dr. Love you had to go down this pathway to the "exam room"....lol.....you can see the tag that pulls out from the right side pocket....
here's the tag...I just used another piece of embossed gate punch and made that into a handle to pull the tag out....added a brad that says love that was embossed to.....
the complete inside of the card.....
here's the tag...you can see the brad better with the embossing.....
*****************
Well that's all I have for this dreary Saturday......I hope your day is filled with sunshine and alot of smiles.....hugs from Charm City......
