The Haunted BBQ Shack

Happy National card making day...today I'm not sharing a card, but a candy box that I just made...I was going to pack my halloween tub away after I made Mr. Frankenstein, but decided to make one more candy box....you all know how I love love to make gift boxes...well here's one that has 3 different compartments....

I used files from Simply Crafty (crazy coffin box--bbq shack and the large tumbler explosion box)to make the box...and the rest of it is from my stash....most things were either colored and cut out, stamped or already cut on the machine...I only had to stamp a couple things...mostly all of those pumpkins....those peski little pumpkins...lol....I also used some glow in the dark embossing powder for a few things....and it really looks so cool in the dark....sorry I didn't get a photo of them glowing....Enjoy!!!!!

 ********
I do double up on all cut pieces...for the structures I do one piece with the cut marks and then one piece that doesn't have them...the one that has them, I use as the bottom...this way you won't see them on top...did that make sense?

I used chipboard as a stencil as I couldn't find my regular stencil...I like how thick it turned out....

to paint, I painted everything black, inside and out....then dry brushed white, then dry brushed a light blue....I really love how it turned out...

Well thanks for stopping by today...I hope you were able to play some....hugs from a chilly Charm City....

New House Gift Box

Here is the little gift box I made for Simply Crafty...I used the tent box (turned sideways)--the garden shed box (turned backwards) and the tire box (under the steps as a swing)....I used modeling paste to coat the house and then painted it...I also took the flower box and turned it into an over hang for the front door...and there's a door under the steps that I was going to make open for another area for something little...but decided the tire was in the way...I cut the back part of the roof to open the house for goodies instead of pulling the top off...I'm thinking it needs a little pond with a tent in the side yard there....

You can find these files over at Simply Crafty

The stairs and a few of the windows are from SVG Cuts

Thanks for stopping by today...have a great week ahead....hugs from a very sunny and humid Charm City...

Happy Sunday Evening

How was everyone's weekend....mine was extra special...Friday was our anniversary and yesterday was my birthday....we took off for the beach yesterday to spend the day relaxing and partying...and had a wonderful time...Tricia, Scott and myself...not to mention, I finally was able to stop at all of those little shops that I've wanted to for years now...I guess it pays to be the birthday girl...lol.... Here's some projects that are older, but I thought that I would post them here on my blog since I hadn't posted in so long over this year....hope you enjoy them and can get some sort of inspiration.... look at the motion in this photo. I loved it when I downloaded it from my camera and it looked just like this... I used a negative from a cut on my cricut and light moldeling past to give this card some dimention. Have a happy week ahead... Hugs from a very sweet Charm City
