Halloween Candy Tote Box

Happy Thursday...how was your day? Mine, was quiet...tonight I'd like to share a project that I
made to use, but it ended up not working for me. So I decided to make it into a Halloween candy tote instead...or maybe use it to house some of my go to acrylic paints...the photos are a bit busy...sorry about that...but you get the idea..use something different instead of the normal halloween candy box...

I used SVG files from Simply Crafty...hop over and check out what she has in her store....and I understand she's getting ready to release something new for Halloween...Enjoy!!!!

Well that's all I have for tonight....Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful evening...hugs from Charm City....

Meet Mr. M.I.E. Therapy

Well how's it going blogland? Are you all doing ok in your part of the world? This has been one crazy year...let's just keep looking up and hope things can get back to some sort of normal.

Tonight, I'd like to share this years candy holder I made for Halloween, Mr. M.I.E. Therapy....get it...bwahaha...how fitting...I used multiple svg files from Simply Crafty...I'll list them below with links if you're interested in purchasing any....or go and gander through the store...she's got some awesome files to play with and great how to videos...Enjoy!!!

Simply Crafty SVG Files
WOW....there's a lot of files that I used...I guess I didn't realize it...and most of them are Halloween files to boot....lol...

I designed this so I could take it apart to store more easily....I'm thinking that I might add velcro to the legs and bottom of the base...it will make it more sturdy...

Well, there he is...our new candy holder for this year...I really love how the modeling paste and the glass beads adds so much more texture to the pumpkin body...Everything is hand painted with acrylic paints...I also added stones as weight to the legs and base, then added some newspaper inside to fill the gap...over time, the weight will cave the paper in, so I have learned over time to add the newspaper to fill that void....did that make sense? ...

I hope you all stay safe and healthy...hugs from a chilly Charm City...

Ghosts Pumpkins and Smiling Jack-O-Lantern

Somebody stop me....I'm on a roll...lol...can you believe I have another, not one, not two but 3 Halloween projects rolled into one post...I made these for my daughters friend...she has 2 kiddies and I do believe they are coming over and all are going trick or treating from here....so I wanted to give them something special...

I  only stuffed the ghosts and pumpkins with candy...and these bad boys can pack it in to...I added some little do dads along with the sweets...I should have added a new tooth brush...lol...

I used svg files from Simply Crafty ...you can see what files I used if you watch the video....and you can hop over to her store and grab some...she just released the coolest, grubby and scary clown luminare file...you buy $5 from the store and get the clown for free...details are on the clown product page....
Enjoy!!!!

Haunted Tree House Tours --Gift Box

Here's a little ditty that I was finally able to put together. This "tree house" project has been on my bucket list of things to make. When I came across the dog house file from Simply Crafty Svg's, and it's Halloween, what better timing to finally make one. And one that's haunted. There really is so much going on, and to be honest, the photos really don't do this project good. It looks so much better in real life...I absolutely love how it turned out...and it's a gift box even...you all know how addicted I am to making gift boxes out of the norm...lol...

I have one video done...I had to go and use a different vid maker, so it's more time consuming...I'll make that tomorrow of the how to, somewhat that is...and I didn't get good photos of it lit up...so I'll try and get some of those tonight....

Well thanks for stopping in tonight...and if you get a chance hop over to Simply Crafty Svg and take a gander through her store...she just released some really cute halloween projects...

Have a great evening....Hugs from Charm City...

The Haunted BBQ Shack

Happy National card making day...today I'm not sharing a card, but a candy box that I just made...I was going to pack my halloween tub away after I made Mr. Frankenstein, but decided to make one more candy box....you all know how I love love to make gift boxes...well here's one that has 3 different compartments....

I used files from Simply Crafty (crazy coffin box--bbq shack and the large tumbler explosion box)to make the box...and the rest of it is from my stash....most things were either colored and cut out, stamped or already cut on the machine...I only had to stamp a couple things...mostly all of those pumpkins....those peski little pumpkins...lol....I also used some glow in the dark embossing powder for a few things....and it really looks so cool in the dark....sorry I didn't get a photo of them glowing....Enjoy!!!!!

 ********
I do double up on all cut pieces...for the structures I do one piece with the cut marks and then one piece that doesn't have them...the one that has them, I use as the bottom...this way you won't see them on top...did that make sense?

I used chipboard as a stencil as I couldn't find my regular stencil...I like how thick it turned out....

to paint, I painted everything black, inside and out....then dry brushed white, then dry brushed a light blue....I really love how it turned out...

Well thanks for stopping by today...I hope you were able to play some....hugs from a chilly Charm City....
