3d Lighted Love decoration

Happy Wednesday blogland...how's your day going so far?  The project below is one that I made for Valentine's Day. I used 2 different kits from SVG CUTS to make this. I just wanted to make a piece of art that lit up....each box has a little bag of sand to give it some weight....ENJOY!!!

front view...I used some pretty heavy wire and formed it around the cut out heart that I formed into an open heart for the votive to go...

little bags of sand inside each box and then topped off with newspaper...this just helps the box from clasping onto itself...

used Diamond Dust...do this before gluing vellum down..

just a view of how the box is put together...

Well that's all I have for today..I do have other projects that I'm planning on sharing...I hope everyone has a wonderful day...hugs from a brisk Charm City..

A Leprechaun Trap lighted candy box

Happy hump day bloggers. It's been a little bit since I've updated...How the heck is everyone doing? Me, not to bad. There's been better days but today seems to be a good day so far. I have been crafting lately. The project below is a leprechaun trap. Well my version of it anyways..lol...it opens up and is a candy dish. The front door has a light up inside that can be turned on and off.. Enjoy!!!

now what little leprechaun wouldn't be enticed to climb that ladder and go inside to get some green been...lol...I used the Gold Coin kit from SVG CUTS...the house is made up of 2 layers of cardstock and glued to each other to make it sturdier. I put a layer of modeling paste to the outside of the house and then painted and then used wood stain to stain it. I glued moss and colored stones to add around the pub. ..spray painted the trees and added some 3d stickers...the ladder was made using balsa wood and a dowel...

I left this un-done...I'm adding Velcro instead of gluing it down. This will be easier to turn the light on and off and to change the battery...
here's what the light looks like...I added a sticker to the front...I get all of my lite up stuff from flashingblinkylights.com  if you are interested....they have some really cool and unique stuff that you can add to your crafting...I love this place...

Well that's all I have for today...I do have a few more projects that I'll share...I hope you all have a wonderful day.....hugs from a very cold Charm City....

The Day After gift set

Happy Happy New Year's Eve blogland. How the heck has everyone's holiday been going? Here on the home front, I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. Finally!!! I have a set I made for Christmas and wanted to share. Have you ever wondered where Santa goes after his long season? Well this is where I believe he goes. To the south pole, kicking back on the beach and watching some good 'ol football....ENJOY!!!!

Here's the set with the lights on...
I decided the sandcastle really needs a colored light to match the other ones. So I will be adding one of those ...this is a late Christmas gift...
**********
This set comes from different kits from SVG CUTS .... can I say, O EM GGGGG...I am in heaven. I love love this place. These kits take all of the guessing and measuring out of creating a new creation. A huge time saver. And I can't wait to get to play with more.

3D Sandcastle--Wet and Wild kit
Shadowbox Frame--Santa's Helpful Elves kit
Palm Tree--Toil & Trouble kit (apothecary jar tall)

the little white doohickey on the palm tree is what the light looks like that changes colors...I put one at the bottom of the south pole sign to up light it and one on the frame just above santa sitting on the beach. The sandcastle has a string of lights that I inserted into the box of it. The lid is the perfect size to house the battery box. Picture is posted below of opened lid with battery...

And this is what Santa does the day after...lol...here I stuck a t.v. set on a barbar pole, added some foil for rabbit ears...ha ha!! Hey, he's on an island...

Pop up Birthday Card Fiesta Style

Happy Tuesday blogland....I have been buy working on Halloween and now I'm going into Christmas mode....but I did make this card and I wanted to share...... Even if the voices aren't real...lol...pop up birthday card for my Mother's birthday some weeks back. I told ya I was coming back to play...I have missed my creative side playing with paper it's not even funny...

The inspiration for this card came from my mother and aunts going to lunch to get some margaritas....and margaritas they got....lol.

I would like to enter this into PaperTake Weekly Challenge--Anything Goes.....ENJOY!!!!!

this is the front of the card....I dug out my Inky Antics stamp sets (worldly women #1 and #2) along with See D's Mexican Fiesta set. Inkadinkadoo for the greetings...paper from Fancy Pants Celebrate line...colored everything in with distress inks....

this is the inside...the women pop up along with the pieces in front of them....I can soo see my mother and aunts hootin and hollering it up...lol...

side view of the pop up...this is where I slid the money card...so it's all one....to make the pop up, I just cut slits into the paper to create it...practice on printer paper first...I learned the hard way...Ha Ha!!!

this is the back view...all I need to do is sign and date it....She loved it. And so did my aunts...

Have you ever wondered what trick or treat means..well I was wanting to make something different, as I always do, and thought about those 3 little words...trick or treat...and I set out to make my version...
*********
The pic above is the little house scene with a treater walking up to a house for candy and says those 3 magical words...trick or treat...and he actually got a trick instead of a treat...

Haunted Rubiks Cube Candy Box

Good morning blog land...today I have a quick post for the challenge over at Scor Pal. I came across a picture on the net and thought to myself, wow, how cool would that be to put Halloween candy in...so I set out to make it and this is what I came up with..... Enjoy!!!
Here is the front view...there's 3 drawers that pull out for candy...
Side view...
Here's my inspiration...I used my scor pal to create the 3 drawers and glued them together...I was going to make them so they swiveled but decided since this was paper and chipboard to just glue them together....

I used Happy Hauntings for the die cuts from my Cricut and MS border punches...

Back view

Side view

The loot...lol...

Top view....I decided to keep it simple...and if you know me this is really hard...but I really wanted the Rubik's Cube to shine instead of stuff...so to speak....
************
Deets
3 pcs 10x10 black stock for frames
3 pcs 9 3/4x 93/4 for drawers...
Score at 2 and 8 on all sheets....
Fold the smaller sheets into a drawer
The bigger into a box but folding in the ends for the drawers to slide in...I keep this extra stock to help build layers instead of just making a sleeve that fits over the drawer...did that make sense? ...I also added chipboard to all sides and bottoms...this really feels like an over sized Rubiks cube...   *************
So this is all I have for now...I hope you all have a sunny day....hugs from a sunny Charm City....
