St Pats Day Light Up Purse

Well How the hell are you all here in blogland? Me, it's that time of year already and you all know what that means...YEP!!! ST. PATTY'S DAY PARTAH!!! lol....we are gearing for it this coming weekend....this year I went all out with anything light up..I ordered so much stuff that we are going to be a walking light bulb...not to mention we have added some new friends to the mix and we are dressing them up to....I know we look like dorks, but we love to have fun.....here's a link to some photos from years past....and the project below I made from a paper mache purse....ENJOY!!!!!!

this is the front of the purse....the chain and the clover medallion was a necklace that I purchased and used it for the front and back....I have 2 clip on flashing light ups hanging....

here's what the flashers look like....they are really bright so I wanted to tone down the light and have them hung behind the clover....

this is the back...I had seen this saying on some shirts on the net, liked it so I made it for my purse....behind  the top part I added a flashing light there as well...hung it on some jump rings...

side view

top view....I kept it simple...

this is the bottom view....I only added 3 legs as apposed to 4...these are actually flashing light up rings....there are 3 different flashing modes to these to....in the photo below you can see all I did was cut holes in the bottom and pushed these through...I left them as is so I can easily remove and change them when they burn out....how smart is that....lol....

this is the inside...

closer view of that darling stamp...I played it safe on this project and used only rubber stamps.....

front with the little lights on behind the clover

this is the back and feet lit up...this looks so cool in the dark...

another look

sorry about the photo but tried to show what it looks like in a dark room.....

Well, that's all I have for a week or so....we are off to the beach in a couple of days and I really need to get everything in order....my father in law comes as soon as we get back for a few weeks again....so I have to have all of my work done before we go.....I hope everyone has a wonderful day...Happy early St Patty's Day....Hugs from a very warm Charm City

Wooty woot woot...I know, I know...I have been so out of the loop this past year it isn't funny...but I can say that I have accomplished alot of inside remoldeling and "purging" on our home that I feel good...although I have so much more to do here, I have been yerning to get back in here and play....Thank you so much Sheri and Heather for inviting me....
********************

SSS and CLP Challenges

Happy happy happy Monday everyone....what a lovely morning it is. Even though it's abit chilly outside, the sun is up-bright and cheery this morning. I hope it's shiny in your part of the world. It always makes for a happy day...today I'd like to share a card I made for a couple of challenges-- Scrapbook Stamp Society (once upon a time)and CLP sketch #44 (posted below). ENJOY!!!!
first--I'd like to say thank you so very much to the CLP Crafty Designers for choosing the card I entered last month for a top 3....that was a lovely surprise to see that....Thank You.....Isn't this a fun sketch to play with that's above? ...I turned it every way but loose and I opted for the original version....loved it... and this is what I came up with. This image reminds me of a bunny out of an older version of peter cottontail but with a girl...lol...she's called Lil Ragmuffin (the rabbit)..and you can get her and all of the other darlings over at Scrapbook Stamp Society Store....I paired her with some Recollections Elegance pattern paper...I just love the tulle paper...that is just like the material I am using in my kitchen for the curtains...haven't made them yet, but they are on the "to do" list...anywho, I also used MS hop border punch--Making Memories metal flowers and metal saying (enjoy)-Karen Foster metal buttons (pink flowers on top)--Heidi Swapp chipboard clock--Spellbinders die--Studio G greeting--distress inks--stickles--prima flowers--other- ball chain and clock
closer view..I just added some white paint so the word would show up better....
just a side view...and can you believe it..a finished inside...wow... oh and I hot glued the pink metal flowers ontop of the metal buttons...
here's the inside...it's abit bulky, but I do love how it turned out....Studio G stamps other than the one I used for the bunnys to sit on...I truly don't remember who makes this stamp....it was already made and sitting collecting dust...so I dusted it off and used it for this card....I made the fringe using a 1" strip of pink paper and just cut slits all the way down...inked it and jsut attached to make the fringe on the front and inside of the card....
**************
Well-- that's all I have today....if you get a chance, pop over to the challenge blogs and play along....I'll be back soon (a day or two) for some exciting news.....I hope everyone has a sunny day...Hugs from Charm City....

Just Because and a Valentine Cards

Happy Monday blogland. Today I wanted to pop in here and share a couple of cards I made. The first is for our Aunt, who is 94 (I think) and hasn't been feeling to well. She got diagnosed with phenomena at the same time as I did, but she is still not feeling to well. I wanted to send her something just for a pick me up...and the second is a Valentine's card with a little pull out tag for a gift card.....ENJOY!!!
I used rubber stamps from Inky Antics...I just love this collection...I paired it with Recollections pattern paper and black jewels--Prima flowers and swirlies-- Ranger stickles and distress inks
I also used a leather frame from Making Memories to pop the inside saying up.. Here's a Valentine's card that I made using things from my already made stash...lol...super simple card....I can't remember how I cut the heart out or the plate I used to emboss it....sorry...I used a tag bag and made a tag for a gift card....
here's the inside....super simple....
tag pulled out
backside of tag where you can add a gift card....
********************
Well peeps, I hope everyone has a wonderful and sunny day...I'm off to tear down wallpaper....next on the list for the house renovations that I've been working on this past year....what fun....Hugs from Charm City...

Altered Candy Box for SSS hearts and flowers Challenge

Good Morning blogland...today I wanted to share with you an altered heart candy box that I made for the challenge over at Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge Blog. I've had this box for many years in my to do pile and thought this would be a great time "to do" it....lol.....ENJOY!!!!
I decided to make a 3-D box and keep it so it would just be made into a piece of art that I can put on an end table or something. ...I cut the center out to make the window and added a heart embossed box and added the quote.... I used this darling image Fairy Frog from Sherri Baldy over at Scrapbook Stamp Society Store...isn't she just so perwdy sitting on top of that mushroom?? Added a ton of stickles, some beads and some fun fur behind her...Prima flowers and crystals....Tim Holtz film and die cut flower...Recollections Valentine and cupid rubber stamps...other--flower rhinestones buttons and ribbon on side... ....just a closer view....
here's a side view....
***********************************
well I do hope you'll hop on over and play along with this challenge....and stop in at the store and check out what they are all about....there is a ton of images that are way cool......Hugs from a warm Charm City.....
