Have I got a SURPRISE for You!!!

You have got to go over and check this video out on the
Hallmark Ladybugs blog...I'm not going to tell you what it is, but run don't walk over there and check out what DeeDee has posted for this weeks tutorial...it's just SPECTACULAR!!!!
After you go and check out the tutorial you have got to go over to Hallmark Scrapbook and check out their SUPER SALE on Cricut cartridges...this is a perfect time to purchase those carts that you have been eyeballing...
Here's my 2nd entry into Regina's Christmas card contest over at Bitten By the Bug Blog... we were to use any cut from any cartridge and make it into a non traditional color Christmas card...here's what I came up with...tell me what you think...
it's a chipboard Santa card with a lighted lantern (flameless tea light) , a little bling and some animal print on his robe. (our little one says he's in his p.j's...lol..) I also used some watch parts for the cutout in the lower left corner, some batting for his beard, a little magnifier in his left hand attached to his belt with a chain so he won't loose it...
on the inside I did some masking with some Tim Holtz grungeboard for the background paper, added a stamped Christmas greeting that I made using the rubber stamp kit for the Pazzles machine (that I purchased in the store at Hallmark Scrapbook), and attached both sections of the card using Tim Holtz grungeboard with some little screw eyelets.
Thanks for stopping in and I hope everyone has a great weekend....
you can click on the photos to get a better view of the card if you would like to....

It's Sunday

and feeling alot like fall around here in Charm City. We had rain finally yesterday. We needed it so much to. Things here are busy. We are in the middle of selling girl scout cookies with the troop. I love to hate this time of year. Ohhhh the calories...lol...it's so hard not to eat them. So this year I thought I'd only order a few boxes. At which I did really good at. But then I get to sell them at work and that's the hard part. Case after case of cookies just calling my name....lol...
On another note, I haven't done much here in my studio this week. I just switched out my Halloween stamps to Christmas stamps. So I think I'm ready to start making Christmas cards and what'nots....So what are you in the middle of? I would love to see...
Here's a couple of projects that I made a couple weeks back.
This is a light up candy dish I made out of chipboard. I sent this to a friend over on Hallmark Scrapbook site. I think she should have received by now, so I can post it here....I hope she likes it...it's alittle different, but so am I...lol...
Here's a little box I made out of chipboard for a little present at Christmas time. I used a connector from the hardware store for the body and a wooden drawer pull for the head. Isn't she just soo cute? I know, she's different, but I love different...lol....
Well thanks for stopping in. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

twice in one week....that's great for me....I just wanted to make a short post...I forgot to mention yesterday about the sale going on over at Hallmark Scrapbook site in their store...if you haven't gone over lately, stop, drop and roll right on over....lol... Hallmark Scrapbook here's a little fella that I worked on today....still deciding if I'm going to make him into a stand or into a card...each cut was made with chipboard then housed with a layer of material and backed with black cardstock....and the beard and hair I cut from that fun fur stuff you get from the craft store...messy---that stuff is really messy---lots of fur flying everywhere--lol...but it's so fun to play with.... Thanks for stopping by... hugs from Charm City

WOOHOO

Now that I have your attention, it's Friday...not that it means anything to me this week (cuz' I'm working tonight), Fridays are normally a great day here for our little one and myself. We usually do chinese and movies.Well tonight, we aren't..since I have to work tonight, I think we are just doing some sort of take out or drive through... Here's some projects/cards that I've made since I last posted. These first two are what I made for the challenges over at Hallmark Scrapbook on the message boards. If you haven't checked them out, take a gander over and play along...we would love to see you... http://www.hallmarkscrapbook.com/phpBB2/ this was a wierd day for me. I decided to make wierd faces on the envies for decorations...I thought this would be a cute way to store some of my fav' cd's here in my studio. The above one I made using the jar cut from Doodlecharms cart from Cricut. I had so much fun making this one..the paradise words are actually printed onto a sheet of transparency film and ran through my cricut machine to make the cut..the stamps are stamped onto a piece of glossy photo paper after it was cut out from the cricut machine.. The above card I made for a friend that a new baby was just born into the family. the inside pillar actually pops up when you open the card...
this is actually a cootie catcher that I made to use for a table decoration at our daughters 4th of July party.
last but not least is this cropped image...if you would like to see the rest of the photo click on this link. It will take you to a tutorial that I just uploaded. It's my first one...
Well that's it for now...hope it won't be as long til my next post...
Hugs from a very warm Charm City
