DudeTime Doodles--Inspiration Challenge--No Cards

WOOTY WOOT!!! Can you believe we are in for another challenge at DudeTime Doodles....for this challenge you make anything but a card and made for a Dude.....and you take your inspiration from the photo below or the projects that we've made over at DTD.........ENJOY!!!!!!!!

inspiration photo...when I looked at this photo I instantly thought, look at all those guys...and what better way to portray the male gender by making something that they love to do......drink beer....I needed something for my Brother-inlaw's 40th birthday in a couple of months.....

and here's what I came up with...it's a bag, money holder and a card....I used these way cool images from Bonibleaux Designs.......Ahoy Matey Set and the Ice Bucket..... here's the card....I used the ice bucket...colored it in with distress inks added a label from Spellbinder's and used s piece of printed transparency (unknown)....paper is from My Mind's Eye.. I love how the print on the paper at the top really goes along with the theme...lol.... and here's the little bag....I just made one out of cardstock, added the pattern paper , same as above.....Ahoy Matey I colored in with Marvy Markers.....I also stamped a Tim Holtz stamp onto shrink plastic and made a charm......
here's a closer view of the charm and the transparency over top of the ice bucket...
and here's the little money holder I concocted using a paper mache band-aid....here I used the other image in the Ahoy Matey set....what better way to start the evening out but with some drink money...lol....same piece of transparency and pattern paper...I used Tim Holtz metal numbers and metal door handle....
here's what it looks like as you pull the handle up.....more Tim Holtz products...and the spool that I wrapped the money onto is one I had from ribbon....love those little spools.....
here's it all the way out....I added more chain and a guitar pic that shows a different kind of picture when moved.....love that little find from the local 7-11 store....and another one of those metal flip tabs from Karen Foster....
just a closer view......
and here's the whole sha-bang..I wanted this to make noise inside so he would have no idea...lol....look at the skeleton guitar pick.....then look at the one below.......woot woot!!!! lol....
looks like he's even enjoying a beer....lol....

2S4Y and Tiddly Ink Challenge Cards

Happy Saturday everyone. It's been such a long week for me over here on my part of bloggland. I've been so sick with bronchitis and it's finally starting to give me some relief. Although I haven't been able to sleep much lately with all of the coughing. My throat's on fire and I feel like I have pulled muscles in my belly from the chronic coughing. Not to mention I don't have a voice right now. So this morning, which I've been up since about 1 a.m. , I was able to make a couple cards for some challenges and I wanted to share them .....Enjoy!!!!
This card I made for 2S4Y. It's Kazan's sketch #55...I found this really fun to play with. It's been awhile since I've been able to play with them over there to. I used a stamp that I had to dust off from Paper Artsy and layered it 3 times and added glossy accents to the top layers, added some feathers, a bow, flower and some star bling...the paper is from My Mind's Eye.....I have to say that I really do like how this card turned out to..
This card I made for Tiddy Inks embellishment challenge. We were to use lace or buttons or both. I used a couple of Christy's digi's on this and turned them into shrinky dinks. I just opened MS Word and made my images about 3 times bigger than they were. Because you know how shrinky dinks shrink after they have been heated. I also lightened the contrast before I printed them off, and colored in the images with chalk, added a cute little acrylic heart onto the froggie from Heidi Grace....
just a close view of Mr. Froggie and the teenie tiny heart....this was the perfect size too.....
and here's a little closer view of the digi going swimming. Isn't she just soo cute in her tire tube....this so reminded me of our little one so I just had to have her....if you have been over to Tiddly Inks you should. She have just the cutest digi's. Christy has a sale going on right now to....
Well that's all I have for today. I'm going to try and work on some more challenges. I hope you all have a wonderful afternoon....hugs from Charm City
