Santa Xpress Lighted Display Snow Globe

Happy Saturday...well it's almost Sunday here...Have you ever wondered how Santa and the reindeer are going to get around once the reindeer get old, and can't do the traveling any longer? Well I do believe I figured out what he will be using...a 4X4, a tiny house on wheels pulling the stables for the reindeer....ha ha....yep, another tiny house to add to my collection....

I have to say, that I really love how this project turned out. I have always wanted to make a snow globe and a lighted display case...so I decided to put them together. I made this for a contest over at Dreaming Tree Christmas Contest. I have to say thank you to the team over there. They have some of the best designs to work with. And so much inspiration from the community. You all are such an inspiration to me. If you take a gander over to the on line store, you'll see a ton of files to purchase...Dreaming Tree Store

I pictured in my mind that Santa and his gang were coming down the mountain into the city...hence that snow globe part...to cover up all of the white space at the bottom (to hide the fans) I used glittered houses and trees to simulate a little town...I chose not to glue anything down though...I wanted to be able to use this display case for other holidays down the road....

I hope you like the videos....Enjoy!!!

after trying to get a good video of the snow blowing, this was all I could do...I got great snowing while practicing, but then when it was time to film, it just didn't blow very good...it seemed like no mater how I taped the fans down or the wedges I used, it would work great...but come filming time, nope- not gonna happen...sorry it's not the best...just know, it looks awesome in person....

some photos of the process...I hand painted everything but the base.
I also added glitter to most everything either with spray adhesive or mod podge and a paint brush...

Santa and his gang....this has what files I used for them....if you scroll down to the next post, you can see closer photos that go to this video...

Thanks for stopping by...I hope you have a wonderful Sunday...hugs from a very cold and wet Charm City.....

Santa Xpress

Good afternoon...Today I wanted to share a project that I've been working on for some time now. I really love how this has turned out....if you watch the video, you'll see all of the svg's that I used from Dreaming Tree...this is my first project using their files, and I was quite pleased at how easy these were to put together..and to take apart...lol....but if you know me, you know I simply love gift boxes...it's an addiction that I have...I cut everything out onto white or black cardstock and hand painted with acrylic paint....I also added cardboard to give it different textures and look..hand painted the glitter using a paint brush....so here is a set of 3 that can be filled with goodies and given as a gift to someone.....Enjoy!!!!

these are the bump outs on the sides of the Gingerbread House...just glued together...
Thanks for stopping by today....Hugs from a very wet Charm City...

Happy New Years

Happy New Years from Miss Ava. As some of you don't know, this is our GD. She is just one happy happy little girl. This was her new chair from her GF. Isn't this just the cutest little chair? She loves it...
here's her tree...I plan on using her art work that she makes at school every year for the decorations. This year was her first year so there weren't many. I'm hoping that they do some sort of photo ornament every year...how cool would that be once she gets older?

 kicking back ....ohhhh-- the life...lol....

Here's a card I made using the adorable Edwin ... I made the flower out of the Foamiron that you can get from Magnolia-licious. That stuff is addicting to play with. This was only my second flower, but it is some pretty cool stuff.

pattern paper from Lemon Craft-- Yuletide

added a sentiment to the inside with some stamped images....

here's another card I made using some vintage product...lol...had a lot of fun playing....I have always loved this snowman and finally got around to coloring it up....

 inside sentiment...

here's a just because card....here I used some more foamiron from Magnolia-licious ....used some of those dollar stamps that never seen ink before and added some jingles.....

I really loved this paper from Lemon Craft--daydream....

Well that's all I have for tonight...I wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year....I'll be sharing some pretty exciting news coming up soon......Hugs from a very wet Charm City...

Tic Tac Toe Candy game cubes

Well happy hump day peeps...today I'd like to share a project I've been working on for sometime now. It's a tic tac toe photo cube game. This was from Carolee's Creations...I made this for the challenge over at Tiddly's Challenge Blog but I missed the deadline....but anywhooo, I hope you enjoy this little project I put together....

here's the matching card...all the pattern paper is from the Teresa Collins checking it twice Christmas stack...loooove it!!! lol!!! I used one of those dollar store plastic snowflakes (and some smaller ones)--wrapped it in twine and added a Tim Holtz ceramic tile...

This is the inside of the card...rubber stamped nut cracker and greeting is from Recollections...

this is the top view...I used all different types of chipboard for the x's and o's...some fluff...silver ribbon...some dollar store glass garland...and the little mini nut cracker in the center with a tree ornament and a berry bunch ....

this is the side view....here I added a plastic reindeer that I got from the $ store....trimmed off the legs and screwed him with a wooden knob to make handles on each side...I also added some Provo Craft metal feet to raise the game up off of the table...

the back view...

here's the wooden tray that I decorated with the pattern paper....

do you see the little silly reindeer peeking out...lol...all of the boxes are stuffed with nuts and candy except for the center box....

here's the greeting with the pop up misfits...lol...the digis are from Tiddy Store...

this center box I decorated with the green paper instead of the stripped...I was going for something alittle different and out of the norm...lol...here I have left the tabs on the outside instead of tucking them inside...so if you push down on them the little Christmas critters pop out...how cool...lol...a happy accident..

Well blogland...here's my greeting to you... and a special shout out to all of the Inksters...this was made for all of you!!!! I hope everyone has a very Merry Chriatmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!!!! Hugs from Charm City!!!
