Tiddy Inks--Macabre Monday--PaperTake Weekly Challenges

Happy Sunday Peeps...So much has been going on here that I finally broke down and took some time for myself yesterday and this morning.....so this will be a quick post, but I will come back later to fill in the details on how I made this. So if you're interested, please stop back later.....ENJOY!!!!!!
I needed something for my front door and this is what I came up with...I made it for the following challenges.....3 of them...can ya believe it...I'm lucky just to make something, let alone it fit for 3 challenges.....wooty woot woot...lol.....
***************
Tiddy Inks--Good-Bye Summer--Hello Fall

Macabre Mondays--HDH105--P.M.S.

PaperTake Weekly--Anything Goes

this all started with the glitter alpha's...I was just going to make some little scored Florette's for the letters to sit on, but it ended up being quite a huge piece...

**************

to make the background medallion, I used 2 sheets of 12x12 cardstocks in 2 different colors/papers of choice...

cut 6x12

going across the top should be the 6" and down the 12"

now score every half inch

fan fold

glue all sides together to make this medallion

***********

images from Tiddy Inks. (tree-spider web backgound-christmas ornaments)...I used silver glitter (dry)--glitter glue and Distress embossing (weathered wood--fences)...red distress stickles for the hair...border punches (gooey-birds-fence)...alphas from ColorBok which I adhered to skewers and trimmed off....I really need to add some ribbon to them....and just added little dots of silver glue and added black pearls to go around the frame.....I colored everything in with distress inks...

just a closer shot... I really need to do something with the halloween ribbon...it's just not finished...lol....I popped the center frame up using poster board but I doubled the thickness....this gave me room for the skewers to stick into... I hope everyone has a wonderful sunny day...I'm off to make a cake and a pot of lasagna....and I'm behind...lol....I'll be back later to update....Hugs from a cloudy Charm City...

PaperTake Weekly--Anything Goes

Smack me in the head Batman, it's another card for a challenge....lol...Happy Thursday peeps...just think, one day closer to the weekend...not that matters here, just means more work to do with Hubby home....I tell ya, I have been working on redoing our landscape in the flower beds...been digging plants up and relocating them to other beds...trying to get that curb appeal thing going on again...lol...not to mention, that they have just gotten to big for the places I had them planted in....this is what I have been doing these past couple of months (not to mention, taken the master bedroom's closet apart)....at the same time I had decided to truly do the "DIET" thing once again....and really apply myself...so far it's been working...I have gone down 2 sizes in my clothes and it feels great....I was watching an infomercial one morning after work and it totally motivated me...it was the Zumba Training one...have you seen it? Know about this program? I have been reading and talking to others about this and they totally are in love with it....I have yet to get the DVD's or sign up for a class, but I have checked out some DVD's from the library and like them.... *********************
I want to thank everyone that has asked and wondered how I've been doing....you all make me smile...thank you...and that really is something I've needed for a time now..... ***************************
I guess when one gets to what we think is middle age, then you look at life through different glasses....re-evaluating everything....kwim??? And my health right now is a priority...you know, the most important thing to oneself, but tends to get shoved aside in the everyday hustle and bustle of what we call life...a few months back, things were done and said that really made me WAKE UP!!! So this is the first part of me waking up...lol....so to speak...

*****************

I have missed everyone here (more than you really can know)...and have truly missed being creative....in here that is....lol...although I have been doing research on backyard designs...and in my design that I came up with is a little section that I have designated for a (pirate/beach theme ) mini-golf pad(s)...I know, I know....but I believe that everyone will have some great times playing this all year.... I'm looking to make one that you would find when on vacation...with all the bells and whistles...sound like fun?!!! Lol..

*******************

Anywhoo, I've talked your ears off....sorry about that....Here's my entry into this weeks challenge over at PTW anything goes plus one....hop on over and play along this week....ENJOY!!!!!
I truly am sorry about the photo...Me, camera and white spaces are like oil and water...lol...I used a rubber stamp from Kraftin Kimmie (Drucilla)...ain't she perdy....she actually is holding a pin in her right hand, but it got cut off....I used the felt flower roll and pearls from Queen and Co, Prima flower, Cosmo Cricket alpha stickers with stickles and tulle...the finished size is 4 1/2"...
***********************
Well blogland...I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend ahead...and thanks again for all your thoughts....Hugs from a very sunny and hot Charm City....

PaperTake Weekly Ribbons and Pearls

Happy Tuesday...today I wanted to share this week's challenge over at PaperTake Weekly....this week your challenge is to use ribbons or pearls or both......our sponsor this week is The Paper Shelter....make sure you pop on over there and check out the darling images she has for sale......ENJOY!!!!!
and here's what I came up with....I simply just love this image of Hilarious Cupid. For this one, I opted to use the colored image instead of coloring the black and white in. I also sewed a little tiny sack made from tea dyed muslin and added some m&m's inside.....paper from My Mind's Eye--acrylic hearts from Heide Grace--tag from Making Memories--I also cut the image out using Spellbinders dies--MS border punch....
just a view of the little goodie sack......
I bowed out the image mat and added brads for reinforcement to be able to slide the little sack into....

PaperTake Weekly Cold-n-Frosty Challenge

Happy Tuesday morn there peeps. Today is a new day for a new challenge from PTW. The challenge for this week is cold and frosty....this soo fits our weather right now...it's very cold...and starting later today, we have the snow front that you have probably already had or is getting, like us, on the East Coast. So how appropriate..... Our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish. ......ENJOY!!!!
here I used Paul Penquin, Sammy Dah Snowman and In the Cold digi stamps. Paper from SEI --trees from cricket cart--greeting printed off my computer--and I actually colored everything in with Marvy LePlume markers.....highlighted with distress inks on the snow, trees and greeting.......
just a side view....
and here's a second card I made using this way too kewl image Eskimo Joe from Bonibleaux Designs. Although he's not released yet, you will be seeing him sometime in the future...did you know that when you are looking at an image in the store there, if you scroll down there's a tab with additional images to look at. I love this option. I don't know about you, but when I'm looking for new images, I love to have a finished project right next to it for a visual...it really puts an image into perspective....so hop over and see what I'm talking about....
********************
I also used the same paper as the one above..SEI....I used MS border punches--stickles--colored in image with distress inks--printed the greeting (which this will be us once again after today..lol)...and added a bunch of sparklies as snowflakes coming down....maybe a tad to many, but I do like it.....
******************
so stop on by at PTW and check out what the rest of the team has created.....we'd love for you to join in this week.....I hope you all have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by.....Hugs from a chilly Charm City.....

here I used the Coffee Break image and cut it out with a Spellbinders circle die...paper from Crafty Secrets--Sizzix for the dies at the bottom...It says, coffee culture friends, but you really can't see that....sorry..I should have used black cardstock to back the words so that they would pop off better.....don't know what the hell I was thinking...anywhoo...for the optional lace, I used MS doily lace border punch....I also used Copics again...I'm still trying to get the hang of these markers so my images are to great.....
*********************
That's all I have for today....make sure you stop in at PTW at see what the rest of the team has created for you...and play along.....Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have a sunny day!!! Hugs from Charm City....

PaperTake Weekly Red/Green must not be seen Challenge

Hello My Little Bloggers....How's it going this morning for you? I don't know where you live, but here in the States (East Coast) is it a freezing 27 degrees outside. Not to mention the wind is blowing like mad...so it makes it even colder out. This morning I'd like to share my card I made for PTW. The challenge this week is red and green must not be seen. Make a Christmas card/project and add it over at the challenge blog for a prize from Whiff of Joy. And please do stop by the store there. She has some great goodies that you can purchase for presents and what knot's......ENJOY!!!!!!
and here's a card I made....so way out there it isn't even funny...lol...but somehow it grew on me. I stamped Santa (Tim Holtz die) shaded it in with a blender copic marker...added some Prima swirlies and the poinsettia flower die (Tim Holtz)....paper from DCWV Luxery Stack....greeting from Inkadinkado and Jolee's for the rhinestone. I added a few flowers and pearls to the inside.......Well that's all I have for today...Stop over and check out what my teammates have created for you to see....they are simply amazing.....Have a sunny warm day in your neighborhood.....Hugs from "Chilly Willy" Charm City ...

PaperTake Weekly--Sketch #51 Challenge

Woot Woot!!! It's another week for a great challenge over at PTW. This week we are doing a sketch challenge...It's a simple but good one....and we are being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. They offer a wide range of products....so hop on over and see what kind of Christmas goodies you can get......ENJOY!!!!!!
here's the sketch...how fun is this...the possibilities are so endless....
and this is what I came up with....it's a 2"fer...lol....it's that time of year and I love to make home made boxes and things to stuff presents in for my family and friends...I'm thinking this set will go to my nephew who's 13...maybe not though....anywho, I used the sketch on the card and sort of on the milk carton....the stamps are Darcie's (#pol 12 set) except for the tag those are from Studio G....and the template for the milk carton came from here....remember I posted a box I made the other day for Stamp It Crazy (just scroll down and you can see it)? Well I found the link and you can go and make one yourself....but for the milk carton I used the same directions for the big box and just added an extra score mark.....and then kind of folded in the sides a bit to form a carton.....and this my friend was found by making a mistake when I was following the directions....I really like how big this is...the other cartons are abit smaller in size and you can't pack as much stuff inside them.....
here's the card....I just love this snowman pirate.....I just kept this real simple since a teenager is going to get it....they normally are all about the gift and not the packaging...lol....I colored in the images with Prisma Pencils.....
the carton...I just folded down the tab at the top (which is actually one of the score marks on the instructions) and added a clip to keep it together....
here's a side view.....I truly love how this turned out....and I'm sure you'll be seeing more of these this holiday season...hope you don't get to sick of them.....
Well, I want to thank you for stopping in today...make sure you stop and see what the rest of the team has created...they always amaze me week after week with their creativity.....Hugs from Charm City....

This card has taken so many different turns that I ended up with 2 cards this week.....on this one I used Mr Straw from Digital Delights. Leaf swirly stamp from Inkadinkado--Tim Holtz metal flowers/leaves--Around the Block greeting--distress inks and MS border punch....no rhyme or reason for the watch face (on top of a metal huge brad) and metal leaves...I just liked them...lol....

here's the second card....Tim Holtz mini stamps--Inkadinkado greeting stamp--Autumn Leaves tag stamp--K&Company feather--Prima swirls--Making Memories paper....

Paper Take Weekly Sketch # 48 Challenge

here's the sketch we got to play with this week. Here I used this darling image from Meljen Designs. I don't think it was meant to be a Halloween image, but you all know me, I love to think outside of the box. And I turned this darling image into a trick or treat card.......this image made me think of the little bear either tricking the frog with the spider on the limb and not letting him have it or he's going to be nice and give it to him as a treat........I also used the spider web digi from Tiddly Inks as a background.....I used the Echo Park papers, distress inks and stickles....printed off the greeting trick/treat on my computer and added acrylic letters (or).....
******************************
Well make sure you stop over at PTW and check out what the rest of the lovely design team members have created for this challenge....then stop over at Simon Says Stamp to buy some new goodies to play along with the challenge.....I hope you have a lovely day and I want to thank you for stopping by today......hugs from a soaking Charm City...

I used an image from Kenny K. Now isn't he or she just the cutest doggie ever....I use to have one and he was as cute -as devious-....lol.... this was actually a free image from his site, but it is no longer available....he does however have a new one up that expires the end of the month....
*****************************
I used distress inks, Prima flowers, MS crooked fence and branch punches, Inkadinkado--admit one and party glass clear stamps, StampScapes--pebbles and crooked limb, stickles and liquid glass (I added this to the top of the glass image to make it feel like glass), and a flip flop charm for the bottom of the glass....
this is the inside....now it's very rare that I finish a card inside and out, so I am very proud of myself....I was thinking I could give this to DH for a special kind of dinner...just the two of us....it's abit cold here for pool side, but we can do patio....I can also grill hot dogs...lol...I used a Prima swirly clear stamp along with Inkadinkado ticket stamp....

just a closer view of my sweet little doggie....sorry about the screw up on the coloring...to much coffee......Make sure you stop back at PTW and play along with us and check out what the rest of the girls did with this challenge.....Have a beautiful day!!!!! Hugs from a sunny Charm City....

Paper Take Weekly Photo Inspiration Challenge

This week we are being sponsored by Wiff of Joy at Paper Take Weekly . The photo below is what you need to use to make a project/card for this week's photo inspiration challenge. I tell you, I had alot of fun. I have always stayed away from this type of challenge because I never knew if I was doing it right or not. But this week, I jumped right in and just went with what ever came to mind......ENJOY!!!!!!
Now look at this photo....bright and cheery, not to mention very colorful. But what I took away from this photo was the way the pillows/shape and the tray were positioned. Although one of the pillows is a little wonky, I didn't do that with my project......and I used the color purple.....
And here is what I came up with....a Big sized candy bar wrapper for Halloween using one of those darling digi's from Simply Betty's new line of Punky Teens. This was such an easy but fun project to make.....paper is from DCWV--distress inks and stickles.....
here's what is looks like with the candy taken out....well that all I have for today.....make sure you stop over at Wiff of Joy and check out their shop. They really have some darling stamps and other goodies in their store. Then stop back by Paper Take and check out the other designers creation and see where their creativity went with this photo....Have a great Tuesday...Hugs from Charm City.....
