A Rosebud Tutorial with Foamiran

Happy Hump Day....today I thought I'd share a little picture tutorial on how to make a rosebud using foamiran. Sorry for the photos...I took them with my phone as I was making them...and that thing has seen it's last days...lol...dropped to many times...

Any who, here's how easy peasy it is to use Foamiran....and if you are interested, you can purchase some from the on line Magnolia-licious Store...I'll leave a link below....

  here I wanted to make 6 rosebuds. I cut white for the flowers and green for the leaves... and a piece of foil for the center...I used Lady E tiny flower die...link below....

I shot them with the heat gun for just a couple of seconds...once I turned off the heat gun, I didn't touch them...I let them cool to their natural shape....foil is for the centers

 it doesn't take much foil to make a center with these being so small....you can always choose to make a bigger rosebud using bigger flower cuts also....just take a piece of foil and make a dome with a little point on the end...

 poke a hole in the center of the foil-flower and leaf

 I added all pieces onto the wire and added a little glue from a glue gun to the hole on the foil piece..run a piece of wire through that hole.....then added a little glue again to the foil and pushed the white flower up to the bottom of the foil...don't do the green leaf yet...

 

then I made sure the white flower petal will cover the top of the foil completely. If it doesn't, just gently stretch it or push the foil downwards to make smaller.... Now add some glue to one side and pull the petal up to the top as show in the photo above and around the sides at the same time...be gently so you don't rip the petal. Do the opposite side of the flower. Then repeat for the remainder 2 sides...

 this is how it should look....now add a spot of glue to the bottom of the white rosebud you just created and push the green leaf up to bottom of the bud.

 wala...you just created a rosebud using foamiran....how cool is that....and how easy peasy was that....

side note....if you are uncomfortable with the foamiran, try this method using cardstock first. Then make some using foamiran.....

 

  I used the wire from a flower to form them together as a clump....
