Paper Take Weekly Challenge Sketch

Here's my second post for today...Please scroll down for The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge..... I am just getting into sketches these days. I remember I wouldn't touch a sketch because I didn't know what to do, am I doing this right kind of thing, attitude I had towards them. But I have to say, I really do enjoy using sketches. And this weeks sketch over at The Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog was a fun one to play with. Why not come over and give it a try? We had alot of fun and I bet you will too. See--easy-peasy!!! And here is what I came up with. I know, it's a super simple card for me. No bells or whistles or even lights. But I have to say, I really do like the simplicity of how this card turned out. I have been dying to use this image from Tiddly Inks. She has just the cutest digi stamps that I want them all.....lol.......So pop on over and check them out. On the stars I use red flock and white/blue shaved ice. Just a little dimensional thing.....I also added a second layer to the hat, tie and shoes...and then again on the independence word and have a few hangin stars behind it.....and wala--a card for next year....lol.....
