The Wizard of Oz and an Award

Good morning....I would like to share an 8X8 double page layout I made for the circle journal book swap that I'm in. We were asked to make a layout about your favorite movie when you were a child. I have to say I have a couple, but this is my all time favorite. I had no idea how I was going to make this either. I did however find a sticker sheet and that is what I used. I aslo made a pull out tag with my journaling...I hope that she will like this in her book....sorry for the photos too....lighting wasn't the best....
here's the 2 pages together...
the left side....
the right side....
this is how I made the pull out tag.....
this is how I made the page tab and numbers..I've always liked to have a little way to turn the pages in my books so I thought I'd add this to her book too...
I was just over joyed when I received this blogger award from the lovely Scrappin Lil Creative Side .... if you get a chance pop on over to her blog and check it out. She makes some lovely layouts and cards too.....Thank you so much Lil for thinking of me and sending this award to me. It simply made my day. I'm so sorry that it took me a little longer to share this to...
Now I need to reveal 7 things about myself and send this to 15 other people....but I have to say that I just love everyone's blogs that I visit. I get so much inspiration from all of your lovely works of art and I would be tickled pink if you would like to take this award and share it on your blog and pass it on to. So here goes, my 7 things...I don't know if you already know these things but I'll share them....
1...I want world peace and no more hunger for all of mankind.
2...I go to the beach all of the time, but can't stand the sun...or should I say, the sun doesn't like me.
3...when I was younger I had always dreamed of being a truck driver...you know after BJ and the Bear show...lol...so when I grew up, one of my boyfriends was a truck driver...he owned his own small fleet...and it's really not all cracked up to be what I had thought it would be.... 4...I use to play track, volleyball, basketball and softball in school. And get creamed by my brothers and their friends at football...lol...
5...a secret dream---I have always wanted to be good enough to be a "paid" artist....
6...I'm from a family of 5 children...3 boys and 2 girls...from Tecumseh, Michigan..as they say the swamp land...which in turn ,turned out to be farm land...very rich soil...and the ever so famous Chief Tecumseh from the Shawnee indian tribe.
7...my very first car was a VW Rabbit..I use to have to plug it in to the wall to get it charged for the battery...oh how we have come a long way...lol...
Well that's all I have for today...I hope everyone has a lovely rest of the week...I'm going to try and get some photos taken of some other cards I've made and share them later....Hugs from a very sunny Charm City....

Oh my word, Nancy!!! This is fabulous! I love all your amazing details (of which there seems to be tons and tons!!) The colors, the distressing, the contrast, the texture, everything! Your work just simply blows me away!!! I love it all!!!

Just a note...we only had b&w tv growing up too, and this was my favorite movie. I remember the first time Mom and Dad got a colored tv, and this movie came on. I think I was about 15. I was mesmerized when she entered the land of Oz and it was all in color. I had no idea and loved it even more! LOL!
Thanks so much for all your fabulous inspiration!!!
hugs!
Sharon

Wow is this ever COOL, Nancy! I sure remember watching the Wizard of Oz too as a child. Quite the fitting tribute to the movie. It's magical and I sure would love to get my hands on some of those letters you used for "Wizard". Just fabulous! xxD
