HDH141 Butchered Blueprint Challenge

Good late morning blogland...I promised I'd be back with another card... and today's card is for the challenge over at HDH...as you can see it's a butchered blueprint challenge.... have you been over at HDH lately and checked out what the Minions have been up to? If not, you truly should...their creations simply blow me away....they RAWK each and every challenge....here's my card for the challenge....ENJOY!!!!!

here's the butchered blueprint at which I turned 90 degrees...

not a gruesome card like all of the creativeness from the Minions, but a simple Halloween card...I used paper from My Mind's Eye...MS border punch...skull ring was a prezzie at which I trimmed off the ring part and added some rhinestones and distress stain....

Well I hope that everyone has a wonderful and sunny weekend...I think we are getting rain here...thank goodness...I am so tired of watering everyday...lol...Hugs from Charm City...

A Big HELLOOO and KK # 136 Challenge

How the heck are you all on this beautiful sunny summer day? I know, it's been such a long time since my last visit. Far to long for me. I know I mentioned last time that I was hoping to play more...but as things have been turning out here on the home front, it has gotten crazier than ever. And when I say crazier, I truly mean that in every essence of the word....CRAZIER!!!! LOL....
Anywhoo, yesterday I was surfing and visiting all of my favorite spots and came across 2 challenges that I want to play with...one of them is posted below for Kraftin Kimmie and the other one I will be posting tomorrow....so you have to make sure you come back in the a.m. to check it out....it's a fun gooey sketch challenge....any guess's on whose challenge it is???

For the KK challenge we were to use our favorite KK stamp EVAH!!! Well when I first got into rubber stamping, KK was one of the first I had a pleasure to play with. The expressions on the faces is what got me. I simply just love them..ALL OF THEM!!! ....I couldn't choose just one stamp and had to use two.......ENJOY!!!!!

I have absolutely loved loved loved the expression on Charlotte's face ever since she came out...this just screams my day sometimes...how about you?....I paired her up with some StampScape stamps to make the background scene....I colored everything in with Prisma pencils and added some Stickles...

This is the inside where I used Drucilla... my other fav KK stamp....the voo doo doll and her expression is perfect for many types of cards....I love how she dares you to do it...lol..cuz you know deep down she wants to stick the doll......I was thinking this would be a cute retirement card....or what about a happy divorce card...lol...this would be from the newly divorced wife to her newly divorced husband....it's her standing there in front of the house (front with Charlotte) she got in the divorce with the kids, and on the inside Drucilla standing there daring him to try and live the life at the beach that he's always wanted to do...lol...I know I'm weird...
****************
Well peeps....this is all I have for today....remember to stop back tomorrow and check out my next challenge I'm playing with....I do hope you all have a sunny day.....Hugs from a very sunny Charm City....

Let's Party

Good Morning Peeps---Happy Saturday to you..I hope everyone is healthy and happy today......Today is suppose to be nice then turn into rain later around dinner time. It's that time of year again where I dust off the diet plan and get back out into the yard again. I have cleaned off the patio and have all of my pots ready to add some pretty flowers to them. I have yet to start on the re do of the living room, but it's coming...I can't wait and just wish it could be done already...lol...I have so many ideas I just hope hubby will be feeling them to...kwim..lol...we'll see...
**********
Well, today I have a card that's been sitting here on my desk that I wanted to share...a girlfriend asked me to help plan her hubby's 40th and this is a proto type..I'm working on a couple more so that she could have a few to choose from....ENJOY!!!!

I wanted to do a manly card so I dug into my scraps of goodness (meaning older and dusty supplies) and played around with a casino type party...I rubber stamped (Paper Artsy) the image onto water color paper and edged it with ink...same size acetate for top layer and sprayed Krylon frosted glass spray to make a window feel...billiards sign from Karen Foster...paper from My Mind's Eye...tore a zipper in half to add to top border with some snaps that I found...greeting from Inkadinkado with Studio G club and spade stamps...I made the corner brads to kind of re fleck a bullet and used a silver round brad topped with an upholstery tack with a pearl...so what do ya think? Did I achieve it...lol...a manly rustic old time feel??

here's a side view...this is where the birthday party info would be tucked inside....
****************
well blog land....I do hope everyone has a great weekend...thanks for stopping in and I miss everyone..where does the time go these days??.....have a sunny day!!!! Hugs from Charm City...

St. Patrick's Day Photos

Happy Sunday morning peeps...I know, I know, this post is way over due...I'm sorry, but we have had some family issues come up since we've been back from the beach. This year I went all out with the light ups for our costumes. ENJOY!!!!!!

this was the group that went down to the beach this year for the weekend...vision~ all very talkative eight of us squeezing into a mini van ~ being shuffled around town~~ LOL~ that poor taxi driver didn't know what he was getting into when he said he'd take all of us~He was jammin to some Bob Marley that really set the mood...lol...
this was Friday night's glass of choice for the ladies..3 different color modes and then one with all of the colors flashing...click on photo for a direct link...

this was Saturday's glass of choice for the ladies...which I have to say is the perfect size for us...the quality is great and the price is even better....it holds a mixed drink with ice very comfortably....it has a mode for 3 different colors and one for all of the colors like above...so this really is a versatile party glass...you can click on the photos and it will take you to flashingblinkylights.com website...

now look at that mug there...if that isn't a manly man's cup I don't know what is...this was the cup of choice for the guys...same modes as above...it holds 2 beers and the quality is great....click on photo to go to their site...

~ Me and Hubby~
 ~ Pam Scott and I ~

this was a new addition this year....and they were absolutely awesome inside the club....

just goofin around
we couldn't leave our buddy out...lol...
(look at his shoes...these were the ones I made last year..I added more blinky lights to them)
*************
look at these dorks...lol...they were both the smash of the party...it's so fun to be able to go away from your everyday life and dress up like dorks and it's accepted...no worries about anything but letting loose for the weekend...sure you might regret it once you get back home, but it was fun at the time....I call it "REJUVENATING"..KWIM!!!
Lou ( first timer~now lifer~he even applied for a job at the job fair the next morning~LOL) and Pam (his Mommie)
I have soooo been eying this costume up the past couple of years...but I figured I wouldn't be able to find anyone to wear it.... I know I wouldn't....lol...look where your face is...in the shamrock....you would have to pull the mask off (as this poor fella did) off and on all day/night... he was so darling that I might just have to get this anyway and add it to the trunk of St. Patty's goodness that we have....I'll tell ya though, it's getting harder and harder to find hats and different kinds of wigs...it seems like I already have what companies offer every year now....same 'ol same 'ol...

this is Lou looking snazzy...I'm telling you, he's a lifer....
****************
Well, I hope you've enjoyed flipping through our weekend....we really had a blast...and we are already planning for next year's weekend.....I just wish each and everyone one of you could come and enjoy it with us....I bet you would end up being a "lifer" like us....LOL....weekend is off season so it is less expensive to stay at a hotel...it truly is an adult weekend, unlike it is during the season where you have families and young teenagers out...KWIM!!! Give it a thought and if you're interested contact me and I can send you details....
**************
Have a sunny day...it's a gloom one here, but like they say, this too shall pass....Hugs from Charm City....

St Pats Day Light Up Purse

Well How the hell are you all here in blogland? Me, it's that time of year already and you all know what that means...YEP!!! ST. PATTY'S DAY PARTAH!!! lol....we are gearing for it this coming weekend....this year I went all out with anything light up..I ordered so much stuff that we are going to be a walking light bulb...not to mention we have added some new friends to the mix and we are dressing them up to....I know we look like dorks, but we love to have fun.....here's a link to some photos from years past....and the project below I made from a paper mache purse....ENJOY!!!!!!

this is the front of the purse....the chain and the clover medallion was a necklace that I purchased and used it for the front and back....I have 2 clip on flashing light ups hanging....

here's what the flashers look like....they are really bright so I wanted to tone down the light and have them hung behind the clover....

this is the back...I had seen this saying on some shirts on the net, liked it so I made it for my purse....behind  the top part I added a flashing light there as well...hung it on some jump rings...

side view

top view....I kept it simple...

this is the bottom view....I only added 3 legs as apposed to 4...these are actually flashing light up rings....there are 3 different flashing modes to these to....in the photo below you can see all I did was cut holes in the bottom and pushed these through...I left them as is so I can easily remove and change them when they burn out....how smart is that....lol....

this is the inside...

closer view of that darling stamp...I played it safe on this project and used only rubber stamps.....

front with the little lights on behind the clover

this is the back and feet lit up...this looks so cool in the dark...

another look

sorry about the photo but tried to show what it looks like in a dark room.....

Well, that's all I have for a week or so....we are off to the beach in a couple of days and I really need to get everything in order....my father in law comes as soon as we get back for a few weeks again....so I have to have all of my work done before we go.....I hope everyone has a wonderful day...Happy early St Patty's Day....Hugs from a very warm Charm City

Just Because and a Valentine Cards

Happy Monday blogland. Today I wanted to pop in here and share a couple of cards I made. The first is for our Aunt, who is 94 (I think) and hasn't been feeling to well. She got diagnosed with phenomena at the same time as I did, but she is still not feeling to well. I wanted to send her something just for a pick me up...and the second is a Valentine's card with a little pull out tag for a gift card.....ENJOY!!!
I used rubber stamps from Inky Antics...I just love this collection...I paired it with Recollections pattern paper and black jewels--Prima flowers and swirlies-- Ranger stickles and distress inks
I also used a leather frame from Making Memories to pop the inside saying up.. Here's a Valentine's card that I made using things from my already made stash...lol...super simple card....I can't remember how I cut the heart out or the plate I used to emboss it....sorry...I used a tag bag and made a tag for a gift card....
here's the inside....super simple....
tag pulled out
backside of tag where you can add a gift card....
********************
Well peeps, I hope everyone has a wonderful and sunny day...I'm off to tear down wallpaper....next on the list for the house renovations that I've been working on this past year....what fun....Hugs from Charm City...

This card (sorry for the photos--it was raining all day yesterday) was made using bits and pieces of past cards that I was working on and never had finished...the background was made using distress inks...and then I sprayed a layer of silver shimmer spritz from Tsukineko....kind of cool stuff...then embossed using distress embossing powder for the snowflakes....hand dyed doily for flower--used a Magnolia stamp--MS punch--Prima flowers and other odds and ends.. here's the inside...you can kind of see the snowflakes...I actually made this background back at Christmas time for a card, but never finished it.... **************** I hope that everyone has a sunny day....I'll be back...I would love to share some of my Christmas projects that I made using stuff from around the house.....Hugs from a sunny Charm City

CLP Sketch Challenge #43

Good morning blogland...it's been quite awhile since my last visit. As you know, I am in the process of purging...our "stuff" that we have acquired over the years. So this past year I have been purging, painting and redecorating. Not to mention the countless hours I did on the landscaping last spring and summer. Well since the holidays, I have come down with pneumonia and it's been quite a show stopper. These past few weeks there's been nothing but misery. But as I sit here typing, I do see light at the end of the tunnel. Thank Goodness!!!!
*************************
I wanted to tell everyone that I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday and all is well with you and your families. We had a wonderful holiday to. I have missed everyone so much. And do hope to be able to play more with challenges....and I do have some exciting news coming soon. So stay turned for further details....
*************************
Yesterday I was over peeking at Eulanda's blog and drooling over all of her creations and seen a post for CLP's sketch challenge. I went over and got the sketch and decided to play...yah!!! If you only knew how long it's been since I've been in here to play in my room....it's a fun sketch, so hop on over and play along this month....ENJOY!!!!!
Here I used a kit that I had put together awhile ago and had in my to do box. I have wanted to play with these images like forever...They are from BoniBleaux Designs .....I'm sorry I don't have a direct link, but go and check out the digi's that Miss Boni has there....
**********************
paper from Basic Grey--Distress inks--KI quote and metal hinges (I do believe)--Making Memories brads--and just some netting off of my tiki bar....
here's the inside....this quote I thought fit the image....doesn't he look guilty...of something...lol....Karen Foster bull--Making Memories frame--Jolee's Boutique owl...
*******************
Well I do hope to start visiting all my peeps here....thank you for being such an inspiration to me. If you get a chance stop over at CLP and play along this month with the sketch.......Hugs from Charm City.....

Tiddly Inks Anything Goes Challenge--Ornament Gift Box

Well-- How the hell has everyone been? It's been months and months since my last visit to my playroom to play.....I have been so busy with redoing the inside of our house from top to bottom--head to toe--purging--painting and redecorating that I just haven't had time to play. But I made an executive decision to make a point to play this morning that I made a couple of projects for the challenge over at Tiddly Inks.... ENJOY!!!!!!
here I used a snowman from the inky critters collection ......paired it with the pie box from My Scrap Chic's 30 boxes and more cut files....I added a bunch of ribbon and some pom pom fringe around the side and made a clay tag from polymer clay to hang from the side....
just an open shot with the shredded stuff...don't think I'll like this stuff... here is the full on open view....I really need to add some cardstock to the inside just to cover up the print lines...this particular box I printed it out onto my cardstock and then used my scissors to cut it out. That's what I like about this place...they give you all sorts of options in one file on how you want to use them, instead of only one option. Print or cut...
Just a view of the back....the string is to hold the lid closed. I opted to make this into a hanging gift box to add to the tree so I needed some way to keep the lid closed....I just used 2 brads and a piece of twine....
Here's the second project for the challenge using snowman sid....just a quick card I made using some scraps from the box above....I also used the bracket card cut from the 30 boxes and more files from My Scrap Chic....the frame was cut using one from Pazzles....greeting and light from Studio G....
Well if you haven't already seen the collections that Christy has over at The Scrap Chic--Tiddly Inks for cut files. You should pop on over....they are soo adorable...and I knew I just had to have them. After all, paper piecing was my first love of paper arts...I did purchase the new release collection this morning for 60 % off....can you believe that...everything in the store is 60% off right now...and that my friend is a BARGAIN!!!! Remember these aren't just cut files, you can print and cut them out with your scissors as well.....go ahead, pop over and see what you've been missing....I did....lol....thanks Christy for such fun images to play with....I can't wait to use these.....

Well that's all I have for this time....I do hope to be back to a normal schedule...I have missed everyone so much these past few months and can't wait to make my way around to visit everyone....I hope that you all have a wonderful Sunday....Hugs from a very SWEET Charm City....

Tiddy Inks--Macabre Monday--PaperTake Weekly Challenges

Happy Sunday Peeps...So much has been going on here that I finally broke down and took some time for myself yesterday and this morning.....so this will be a quick post, but I will come back later to fill in the details on how I made this. So if you're interested, please stop back later.....ENJOY!!!!!!
I needed something for my front door and this is what I came up with...I made it for the following challenges.....3 of them...can ya believe it...I'm lucky just to make something, let alone it fit for 3 challenges.....wooty woot woot...lol.....
***************
Tiddy Inks--Good-Bye Summer--Hello Fall

Macabre Mondays--HDH105--P.M.S.

PaperTake Weekly--Anything Goes

this all started with the glitter alpha's...I was just going to make some little scored Florette's for the letters to sit on, but it ended up being quite a huge piece...

**************

to make the background medallion, I used 2 sheets of 12x12 cardstocks in 2 different colors/papers of choice...

cut 6x12

going across the top should be the 6" and down the 12"

now score every half inch

fan fold

glue all sides together to make this medallion

***********

images from Tiddy Inks. (tree-spider web backgound-christmas ornaments)...I used silver glitter (dry)--glitter glue and Distress embossing (weathered wood--fences)...red distress stickles for the hair...border punches (gooey-birds-fence)...alphas from ColorBok which I adhered to skewers and trimmed off....I really need to add some ribbon to them....and just added little dots of silver glue and added black pearls to go around the frame.....I colored everything in with distress inks...

just a closer shot... I really need to do something with the halloween ribbon...it's just not finished...lol....I popped the center frame up using poster board but I doubled the thickness....this gave me room for the skewers to stick into... I hope everyone has a wonderful sunny day...I'm off to make a cake and a pot of lasagna....and I'm behind...lol....I'll be back later to update....Hugs from a cloudy Charm City...
