Paper Cubed Challenge--Votive Decoration

WOW...Where on earth did October go? So it's now the first of the month and that means we have another challenge from P3. Our challenge this month is to make some type of votive (candle) wrapper/ decoration. It can be any theme.......ENJOY!!!!!!
Here's what I came up with after I seen the sweet Miss Debbie's project....you have to go and check out her project....it's simply darling.........let me tell you, I went round and round with so many different things I wanted to make. But in the end, I ended up with this very simple votive holder with just the flip of your wrists....lol....all you have to do is cut cardstock and pattern paper to the size desired, and bring one end around to the other end and softly pinch the middle top on opposite end to the two ends.......here I just used a 3" circle punch to cut my windows and layered my paper together...I took a piece of transparency and used Krylon frosted glass spray (found at Michaels in the paint section) and lightly sprayed the transparency for my window....I also added a piece of white cardstock to the inside to give the light alittle more glow as opposed to a darker background.......Mr Turkey is from a new place that a Dudette had shared with us called Imagenation....

just showing the top view so you can get the jest of it....very simple and easy to make....I hope that you will all join us this month....Why not make that special little votive holder for you holiday decorations......So stop by and check out what the rest of the team has created....they always blow me away every month....Hugs from Charm City.....

Stop by DudeTime Doodles to get the scoop on all of the other prizes.....and for one lucky commenter here will win Mr. Tom Tom....now isn't he just the cutest....love the tude...lol....good luck!!!!

And as stated above, there are freebies along the way....and here is one of them....all you have to do is right click and save to your computer....this will be removed after the hop is over......ENJOY!!!!!!! *******************************************

This blog hop does not have a start and ending point. So no matter where you hop, you are in the right place. Just keep hopping until you get back to the original location.....and after you have finished and come back here, just make sure you stop at DTD blog and see what's happening...then visit the store and grab yourselves some of those darling images you just seen and make some cards for that man in your life....after all it is football and deer season...turkey season is right around the corner...but you can use these images in other ways than what they were intended for to. ..........ENJOY!!!!!!!
********************************
Now look at Pilgrim Paul....doesn't he look ready to go hunting..he reminds me of a cartoon way back when with Elmer Fudd and how he would go off hunting.....that's what I think when I look at him. It's game day for the hunters looking for their first turkey of the season. So as I'm thinking of how I wanted to use him, I thought of him standing outside of the Turkey Mansions waiting for the biggest, fastest turkey of them all. Mr. Tom Tom....the one that eludes him every year.....lol....calling out to Tom to come out and play....

*****************************

other images (which are rubber) are from Starving Artists (background)--Magnolia (beach fence)--Stamp Scapes (pebbles)

and this is Mr. Tom Tom inside his home looking at his calendar realizing what time of year it is....and remembering that he is retired....lol....when I first seen this image, WTF was the first thing that came to mind. like, how dare you.....lol....

***********************************

other images are from Starving Artist(backboard-rub-plant) and Magnolia(chair-jars), I colored everything in with distress inks, alpha's are from Making Memories and computer generated....I wanted to keep it simple since it is a manly card. I don't know about your man, but mine is simple. Give him a beer, the remote and something neck 'id (as Jeff Foxworthy very elegantly puts it...lol)....oops, I shouldn't have said that....

******************************************

left this side basically blank. *************************************

And here's a little side cart...lol...I used the same images (except the background and lighthouse images) and made a different scene....it's a spin off of the one above....this is Mr. Tom giving Pilgrim Paul the boot out of the Community...it's a retiree community for those birds that got away . And now they are to old to play any more so they all congregate here under armed guards to keep the hunters away....lol....

*************************************

I change the direction of Mr. Tom in my software program. All I did was a flip, copy and paste into MS Word to print it off. I cut the calendar off of this image to....you can see the original here....I used the beach scene from Make it Crafty, lighthouse from Tiddly Inks and branches from StampScapes......it ended up being on the dark side again...seems like I've had a heavy hand lately with the water and colors get muddled together....sorry about that...

****************************************

Well your next stop is over at Tammy's Blog ......go and see what scrumptious she has to offer.......and make sure you stop in the store @ Bonniebleaux Designs........ and then stop back at the challenge blog Dude Time Doodles.....We hope you enjoy your journey and get some inspiration for those guy cards for that man in your life.......Hugs from Charm City.....
