Tiddy Inks--Macabre Monday--PaperTake Weekly Challenges

Happy Sunday Peeps...So much has been going on here that I finally broke down and took some time for myself yesterday and this morning.....so this will be a quick post, but I will come back later to fill in the details on how I made this. So if you're interested, please stop back later.....ENJOY!!!!!!
I needed something for my front door and this is what I came up with...I made it for the following challenges.....3 of them...can ya believe it...I'm lucky just to make something, let alone it fit for 3 challenges.....wooty woot woot...lol.....
***************
Tiddy Inks--Good-Bye Summer--Hello Fall

Macabre Mondays--HDH105--P.M.S.

PaperTake Weekly--Anything Goes

this all started with the glitter alpha's...I was just going to make some little scored Florette's for the letters to sit on, but it ended up being quite a huge piece...

**************

to make the background medallion, I used 2 sheets of 12x12 cardstocks in 2 different colors/papers of choice...

cut 6x12

going across the top should be the 6" and down the 12"

now score every half inch

fan fold

glue all sides together to make this medallion

***********

images from Tiddy Inks. (tree-spider web backgound-christmas ornaments)...I used silver glitter (dry)--glitter glue and Distress embossing (weathered wood--fences)...red distress stickles for the hair...border punches (gooey-birds-fence)...alphas from ColorBok which I adhered to skewers and trimmed off....I really need to add some ribbon to them....and just added little dots of silver glue and added black pearls to go around the frame.....I colored everything in with distress inks...

just a closer shot... I really need to do something with the halloween ribbon...it's just not finished...lol....I popped the center frame up using poster board but I doubled the thickness....this gave me room for the skewers to stick into... I hope everyone has a wonderful sunny day...I'm off to make a cake and a pot of lasagna....and I'm behind...lol....I'll be back later to update....Hugs from a cloudy Charm City...

Macabre Monday HDH095 From the Bone Pile

Good evening everyone...Happy Pre-Fourth for our American families here...I have always enjoyed this holiday with all of the family get together, fireworks and not to mention all of the grilling...off the smell of someone cooking on a grill in the neighborhood...yummy...lol...
**************
Tonight I wanted to share a card I made for Macabre Monday over at HDH....ENJOY!!!!
the challenge this week was to use your scaps....and what a great challenge this was...this is something that I don't normally do, so they just keep piling up...
*************
pattern paper (pebbles inc.) were scraps I had that I just made a card for a week or so back...I thought it was perfect for this image(just inklined) to...I had the tag already stamped and inked, all I added were the pearls, clock hands --ribbon --image and the rub on...
Well peeps...I am off to bed...I do hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend....stay safe....Hugs from Charm City...

HDH094 Menacing Mermaids Challenge

Happy Tuesday all...today is a short post, but I wanted to share an envelope I made for Macabre Mondays at HDH...so this was my take on this very cool challenge (love love love mermaids).....ENJOY!!!!

(click on photos for bigger view)

I took an 11"X14" manila envelope, folded it where I needed the crease to be, and started layering rubber stamps to make a scene.,..I really don't care for the "to box", the black squiggle's is suppose to be a black cat...but since I've had way to much coffee this morning, I kind of smudged it abit....ok way bits...lol.....I used my very dusty stipple brushes along with Rangers nibs and cosmetic applicators to color everything in....
Rubber stamps used are:
Smeared Ink--Mermaid
StampScapes--brookside boulders, crooked limb, tiki huts
Rubber Stampede--fern leaf
Inkadinkado--web, crows and black cat
Studio G--bat
Alexa Stamping--grass (bottom)
See D's--quote boxes
here's the back side where the "from" will be.... *********
Well peeps, I'm suppose to be painting today and instead I'm in here....shhh, don't tell hubby...I just have to do double time now....lol...only so many hours in a day......Thanks Minions for such a fun challenge....if ya get a chance, stop on over and play along this week....we all have a mermaid in our stash somewhere....Hugs from a cloudy Charm City.....

Macabre Monday HDH068 - Octopodally Ominous

Well molly smacks Batman...I can't believe I actually got in a card for Macabre Monday. I have been dying to play along with the Minions and finally was able to make this card. I tell ya, Barb was right when she said this challenge was harder than you thought. It truly was...here's the challenge... You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween project / card using EXACTLY 8 items. Every little thing counts... card base, image panel, every gem, ribbon, sentiment, etc!! ...............ENJOY!!!! ...............

Ok-- so I pulled it off....I am so not good at less is more...lol...I think it came out pretty well though and it's going to be one of those "special" note cards for our daughter...from Mom, ya know what I mean...I thought the inside could read "it takes courage to be yourself"....she's at an impressionable age and peer pressure is in high demand. Here's how I total my tally's...lol....

1 card base--1black mat--1image--1image cut out (which was stamped at the top where you would pull the paper from the pack and it gives you the holes..smart aren't I..added texture..a freebie)--1pc twine--1 greeting--2 photo corners--tallies to a whopping 8 things...I'm sorry, but this is a major thing for me...I just love "stuff"...lol...anywhoooooo---stop over and see what the Minions have created for your pleasure...and why the heck not join in....I BET IT'S HARDER THAN YA THINK!!!!!

The stamp is from Stamp It Crazy (Dred lock girl)-- (thanks Barb for the winning goodies)...can't wait to use more of them....paper from DCWV tag from Making Memories, photo corners Heidi Swapp and distress inks....

Well have a happy sunny day bloggers.....hugs from a cholly Charm City

Macabre Monday HDH063 - Freaker's Free-for-All

Happy Saturday everyone...well it's a little gloomy here....yesterday we lost a co-worker to an accident....she was standing in the back of her pick-up truck, fell and hit her head on the curb just outside of the bed..she had hit her head so hard that they could not revive her while waiting for the ambulance.......she ended up being brain dead when she got to the hospital and shortly thereafter past away...shortly just before that, we were chatting about life together....just about the weekend and the weather and all.....and then not even 5 minutes after I had left work, this happened....this is just another sign to live life to the fullest...and make sure you tell everyone around you how much you care and love them....to be the best possible person you can be.....it's a sad day here, but I am looking for the sun to be shining today as that's how our friend was....very bubbly, happy and always had a smile on her face.....May God be with her family in this time of need....please say a prayer for them.....
**********************************************
....this week over at Haunted House Designs it's a free-for-all....just dark and creepy.... I don't know if you would consider this dark and creepy, but this is what I ended up with.....ENJOY!!!!!!!
Poor Santa is down to his bones and has one last place to deliver presents to and realizes where it is....lol.....this turned out to be a gift box of some sort......no one in particular to give this to either....I have been dying to use this image from Stamp it Crazy....sorry though, I don't think I gave Santa justice......I also used the row homes from Starving Artist--stickles----grass, fence and trees cut from my Expression----- and MS branch punch layered the trees for added texture.....
here's a side view....it's a pretty deep box.... about 2" deep...I used black stripes with Tim Burton in mind......but I'm thinking it needs a trim around the top and bottom to kind of finish it off..... just a view on it's side together.......well that's all I have for today....I'm having dinner and cake (home made apple pie instead...lol) for my Father-In-Law today....he's up here from the beach for a few days and yesterday was his 72nd birthday.....so we wanted to celebrate with him.....I hope everyone has a sunny day....Hugs from Charm City.....

So stop on over...We are having a blog hop on October 31st to reveal a new set of images.....and they are really cool...I can't wait to show you.....ENJOY!!!!!
you can click on image above to be taken to the store
I am so Happy--Happy--Happy that I actually got to make a card for a couple of challenges -- Macabre Monday and Make it Crafty...I haven't had much time lately to participate in other challenges so this is a welcomed change....and I just had to use images from Bonibleaux Designs Digis (Gabby Goblin--Mr Bones Jangle and the barbed wire background circle) which are so fun....this opens up to an easel card with pop up images.....
view of the front closed This is the card opened...I added some MS/EK Success border punches, some black webbing (thanks Glo-I finally found some), and a darling Glo Skullz (thanks again girl), printed onto water color paper and colored everything in with distress inks. Bat and kitty are from Recollections.... just a closer view of the front here's a side view of the easel...... ***************** Well have a happy Sunday, Stop over at Haunted Design House and check out the rest of the entries and DT's creations.... and I hope to see everyone at DudeTime Doodles Challenges.......Hugs from a sunny and bright Charm City......

HDH056 - Monochromatic Monstrosities

This is my second post for today...
Here's my entry into the Macabre Monday challenge over at Haunted Design House.....They want to see the grotesque and the monstrous, and we can only do it in shades of only one color. here's are the shades you can choose from-----black/grey, green, orange, or purple. No I have to tell ya that this is my third project for this challenge....I really wanted to make something with color to it, but the other two projects came out pretty damn crappy....so they ended up in the thank you for coming pile....lol.......ENJOY!!!!!

this is actually a paper mache vase that I converted into a piece of Halloween decoration....I first painted it with white and black acrylic paint to make it gray...then using one of those trusty dusty stencils that belongs to DD, and stenciled in the brick background with black soot distress ink.....then lightly went over it with water to make it look aged....I used Vampire Christian from Simply Betty Stamps new release, cut him out added pop dots and kept it simple at the bottom only using the goo MS border punch......

this is what I did to the top to hide that it was a vase...cut a piece of cardstock to fit but I didn't glue it in...I left it so that flowers could be added if wanted to....I'm really on this roll with the webbing this year....don't know why though.....
and here's just a side view.....hope you've enjoyed this little project....come on over and play along...there's still a little bit of time left......Hugs from Charm City and as always, thanks forstopping by.......

HDH055 - Elegantly Evil

Happy Weekend blogland...first-- I'm sorry..I forgot to post the third project from my posts below.....I will do that later today and you can see a complete set.......okie dokie....lol....
*********************************
Second-- I want to say THANK YOU to Masterful Mistress and the Minions.....I'm a gruesome twosome.....how freakin cool is that.....woot woot!!!! I love your challenges and they really make me think outside da'box!!!! Thanks!!!!
**********************************
I also would like to share my card I made forHaunted Design House Challenge. It was to make a project using evil imagery with a touch of elegance. .....here's what I came up with....ENJOY!!!!!
I made this card for a very special--or not so special rival......lol......you know who you are!!!!! And yes, you did read the greeting right...."TINK"....I didn't forget the "H"....it's a joke..... everyone will be clued to in a few weeks or so....sorry, I was told if I told you, I'd have to kill you...lol...just kidding .......it'll be fun....so keep watching for it........
**********************************
I have to say that the brain finally connected and I went to check out Kenny K digi's and I was so blown away....have you checked them out? If not, what the hell are you waiting for.....they are simply just awesome....on the card I used distress inks to color in the image, background (watercolor paper) and embossed with the cuttlebug, used Tim Holtz die for the bottom of the card (3 layers) and finished her off with some ribbon, metal, pearls and stickles.....well make sure you stop over at HDH and check out what the Minions have made......Have a great day....Hugs from Charm City.....

HDH054 - Creepy Cute

Well here I am again....I really didn't think I was going to have time to make this project...but I stayed up all night to finish it so I could add it to the challenge over at Haunted Design House for Macabre Monday's challenge of Creepy Cute and Tiddly Inks is sponsoring them to....run and check out Christy's digi's.....they are soo cute and gothic........the photo above is a snippet of what's to come the next couple of days.........ENJOY!!!!!
You say---what the hell is this...well let me give you a little background....Our little one's friend (as I call her, over the fence friend...she lives behind us and the girls always go over the fence to visit each other..) ...well it was her birthday the other day....so I always make her something and this is what I came up with this year....she decided not to have a party for the next couple of years, so that when she turns 16 she can have a huge sweet 16 party... I thought that we would have her over for dinner one night, give her a little cake and have her wear her crown...hence the little greeting....QUEEN for dinner only....lol....I used the idea from the crowns that you get from Burger King for the kiddies to wear.....I only need to add the band that will go around her head to hold her crown on....
******************************
I used DCWV paper and added some more spider web, added the gooey border punch at the top, the picket fence border at the bottom, some Prima bling and cut the crown at 6" from Happily Ever After......I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday......Hugs from Charm City

HDH053 - Pink on the Brink

How's it going blog land? It looks like it's going to be a beautiful kind of day here....The sun is shining and it's even cool outside...I hope your day is as pretty as ours is here.....I have a card I'd like to share that I made for Haunted Design House's Pink challenge this week. This was alot of fun to make....I got out my UTTEE to play with and made the cracked glass effect on the stamped circle....if I remember, there's 6 layers of uttee and then I popped it into the refrigerator. But you know what I hate, is that every time I play with this and use an image with a face, no matter how hard I try not to crack the face, walla--it cracks.....ARGH!!!! ........ENJOY!!!!!!!!
here I used the Tim Holtz technique using distress ink pad (worn lipstick) and water for the pink.....I cut up a Manila folder to make my card....I also used distress black soot crackle paint for the black, added some Vaseline to remove some of it in spots to show the branches I stamped underneath.....but stupid me, you know I'm a dork right, well I dried the paint using my heat gun before I removed the paint from those sections and it ended up a mess. You really can't see the branches to much....oh well, I still kind of like how it turned out....I also used some Holtz filmstrip, removed some windows and hung some chandelier glass from it at the bottom....
closer view of the cracked glass effect........I made a second stamp of the little girl (paper artsy--ancestors--plate #2) and cut the wings out and popped them up (on top of the uttee) like they are crashing through the glass.....
here's the top of the tag with more filmstrip and glass that I used to thread the button with....well that's it for today....I hope everyone has an awesome and sunny kind of day today.......hugs from Charm City........

HDH052-- Stamp It Crazy

Welcome back....how fitting is this challenge over at Haunted Design House. This week the challenge over there is to use 3 stamps/digi's on a project from Stamp It Crazy....and you all know just how I love those stamps over at there....LOV ' EM.....I was happy as flies on **** that I was able to make the challenge this week........ENJOY!!!!!!
**************************************
Just showing the dimention of using the Martha Stewert border punches and bowing them outward to create a 3-d effect......the bottom irongate punch is the card itself and then I added another layer on top of that.......
here's the front of the card...I used Missy--Skull Sicko from the digi section and Goth 17 (Jack Skeleton heads) and Goth 16 ( inside card skull) from the rubber stamp section....the neighborhood stamp is from Starving Artists and the Lantern Stamp is from Inkadinkadoo and scratches from Tim Holtz....colored everything in with distress inks...and used the crooked fence and icecycle border punches for the top border......and then I just pierced holes all the way around the circle for added dots....
Just had a little fun playing with the background.....thanks Barb...those dots on your Simply Betty card made me do this....lol......Well that's all I have for today...I think we are off school shopping...DH just tex'd me from the other room and wants to go shopping....believe that, a man that's asking to go shopping....lol....have a wonderful day blogland!!!!! Hugs from a muggy charm city....

HDH050 - Foul Flutterings

It's Thursday morning---do you know where your children are? ..lol... Hi Peeps....I just wanted to pop in here and share the card I made for the challenge over at Haunted Design House--Macabre Monday.....The challenge was to make something using wings--anything--the creepier the better........and this is what I came up with........SLUT-EZ (inspiration in a can to help clean up your reputation....lol....).......ENJOY!!!!!
..............................

I know---you are all thinking--what in the hell is this...lol....And believe me, I'm asking myself the same thing. What in the world was I thinking....well let's start by saying...I went digging through my older unloved rubber stamps and came across this set of art parts by Sunday Inc. ..I remember at the time of buying these (about 3-4 years ago) that I had no idea what I was going to do with them...but I knew I just had to have them....the other day I went searching for the web site to get some inspiration (and inspiration I got..).......the beach huts ( little mussings ) I am using for outhouses....to kind of go along with the "can" theme....lol....hense the "occupied/vacant signs....the cloud and grass are from Make it Crafty.....used distress ink refills and Tinkering Ink for the pattern paper.....stickles and alot of pop dots....

this got a little dark where the slogan is....I tried to use the ink from the printer to highlight the words but I used to much water..... just a closer view of the frog lady.....
this is the inside....I just had to use the slogan from Hallmark for the inside...I thought it was so fitting....
here are the different rubber stamps that I used from the set.....
................................................
Well that's all I have for today....remember to stop by tomorrow for the blog hop at Simply Betty Stamps Challenge Blog......hugs from a very "HOT" Charm City........

.............................................................................................
I am also entering this into the challenge over at Macabre Monday. The challenge this week was to use anything with spiders as the main focus. this is what I came up with. Macabre Monday--Freekers Free for All--Late

Happy new week blog-land....once again, where did last week go....I tell ya, ever since I got older, it seems like time just flies by.....anywho, onto my card I made for the Macabre Monday challenge. This was the first time that I was able to make a card for this awesome challenge blog at which I'm late for...... I just found them not to long ago (thanks Creepy)...and have been mesmerized ever since.....so pop over and check out the creations on this blog....and look at the DT's work...it will just blow you away........Enjoy!!!!!
I just love these darling vampire images from Simply Betty Stamps. But instead of printing and cutting them out like I normally do, I opted to combine these two images (using microsoft word) with a background image (bonnie background) from Digital Delights. I really don't care for the end result though....I liked it up until my sky in the background got to dark with me over working the distress inks....but oh well...and I thought these images were great together as a "we moved" card.....I guess I'll just have to try it again sometime.....
here is a closer view of the flower tag with my skull beads...I soo love these little guys...lol.................
...........................................................................
Well I hope you get a chance to stop over and check out the challenges (I know I will be)...but make sure you stop at Simply Betty Stamps and Digital Delights also to see what they offer.......have a great Monday...Hugs from Charm City
