For the life of me I couldn't figure out what to make. We are avid football fans, as you know...lol...but my mind was so blank.....I remembered I had this wooden puzzle frame that needed some lovin, so I figured I'd use that to make something.....I also turned it into a picture frame.....
************
I used paper from Karen Foster--Tim Holtz door knob metal number and memo pin--other wooden frame/puzzle pieces, wooden #1 (underneath metal number) and ball and chain
here I added the doorknob to pull the puzzle pieces out of the frame....they are very tightly squeezed in there to I just wanted a way to pull them out.....I added the knob on top of a metal washer from the hardware store....made the football out of chipboard...
...closer view of the pieces taken out...in this photo you can see how I layered the metal number on top of the wooden piece...I was just to lazy to make a # sign myself....lol......
and here's the picture frame....I had to keep this very simple so that the puzzle pieces fit back in....and this is my number one fan....lol...our little grandbaby (photo is a year old)...he lives in a house full of Baltimore Ravens Fans, so I have to get my little tidbits in there while he's young with my Steeler's being #1...and to prep him for becoming a STEELER'S FAN!!!!....lol....so I figure over the next few years, as we sit and put this puzzle together, he will know that the STEELER'S ARE #1.....and the RAVEN'S will always be in our DUST!!!!! LOL!!!! The pilgrim's that they are...
************************
On a side note, take notice of how I used that memo pin from Tim Holtz....I trimmed the pokey thing off, and using my pliers, I twisted this to make a sort of hanger....it took some muscle, but I did it....Tim's metal is very strong and very hard to twist using the pliers....but I do like how it turned out though.... I'm thinking that our little fan will enjoy putting this together with me...*smile*...
..........here's all the pieces......

Fabulous idea! Love the little football charm too. I think the baby needs a change of shirt though, perhaps to an Eagles jersey.
This is awesome, Nancy! I love how you turned it into a photo frame, but also made use of the puzzle pieces too! Dig all the hardware!
Your little woman at football game snippets gave me an early morning chuckle! I've said some of those things before!
This is just fantastic.. Such an awesome idea.. Love it!!
