Haunted Fishing Tours

Happy Monday peeps...it's been a little while since my last share...today I'd like to share a project that I've been working on for sometime now...most everything is from Simply Crafty, others are from Design Space...as far as I can remember...

I'm on a new learning curve to post things from my phone....using design space, uploading here and other things....we finally cut the cord...the comcast cord that is...gotten irritated with them for the last time, and cut the cord...without having something else in place...great planning I know, but hey, no more Comcast bill...yay!!!  So with that being said, bear with me until I can figure all of this out....

So here's my Halloween project for this year...it's a bit busy, but once you break it down, I love how this turned out...well, except for the trail..I needed to make a real dirt path, but chose not to ..enjoy....

Hope everyone has a great week.....hugs from a very rainy Charm City....

Halloween Candy Tote Box

Happy Thursday...how was your day? Mine, was quiet...tonight I'd like to share a project that I
made to use, but it ended up not working for me. So I decided to make it into a Halloween candy tote instead...or maybe use it to house some of my go to acrylic paints...the photos are a bit busy...sorry about that...but you get the idea..use something different instead of the normal halloween candy box...

I used SVG files from Simply Crafty...hop over and check out what she has in her store....and I understand she's getting ready to release something new for Halloween...Enjoy!!!!

Well that's all I have for tonight....Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful evening...hugs from Charm City....

Meet Mr. M.I.E. Therapy

Well how's it going blogland? Are you all doing ok in your part of the world? This has been one crazy year...let's just keep looking up and hope things can get back to some sort of normal.

Tonight, I'd like to share this years candy holder I made for Halloween, Mr. M.I.E. Therapy....get it...bwahaha...how fitting...I used multiple svg files from Simply Crafty...I'll list them below with links if you're interested in purchasing any....or go and gander through the store...she's got some awesome files to play with and great how to videos...Enjoy!!!

Simply Crafty SVG Files
WOW....there's a lot of files that I used...I guess I didn't realize it...and most of them are Halloween files to boot....lol...

I designed this so I could take it apart to store more easily....I'm thinking that I might add velcro to the legs and bottom of the base...it will make it more sturdy...

Well, there he is...our new candy holder for this year...I really love how the modeling paste and the glass beads adds so much more texture to the pumpkin body...Everything is hand painted with acrylic paints...I also added stones as weight to the legs and base, then added some newspaper inside to fill the gap...over time, the weight will cave the paper in, so I have learned over time to add the newspaper to fill that void....did that make sense? ...
************
I hope you all stay safe and healthy...hugs from a chilly Charm City...

Heart Lock Gift Box

Here's a little heart lock gift box from Simply Crafty SVG that houses my Mother's secret BBQ sauce..it's a gift for a family member..it's on the inside bottom and that can be removed to read the recipe...wonder how long it will take for the recipient to find it...lol..

Every cut is doubled and glued together then painted with acrylic paints...then I used some rub n buff to take it that extra mile, so to speak...there's a photo of it down below..ENJOY!!!
Thanks for stopping by...hope you have a wonderful Monday....hugs from Charm City....

Seahorse Gift Box

Good morning...how was your weekend? I hope it was filled with family and friends to celebrate our country's birthday...for us here, we just stayed in...they had cancelled the fireworks here, and it was just to darn hot go anywhere...

Today I'd love to share a project that I just love how it turned out. I have always had a fascination with seahorses since I was a little girl. I have loved this seahorse box from Dreaming Tree SVG  ever since it was released...and finally found a chance to make it...

If you know me, you know I love to make gift boxes that aren't your ordinary gift boxes...today, I've added photos to show you how I put this one together using corrugated boxes, acrylic paints, dollar store items and some chipped colored glass...Enjoy!!!
I'm sorry for any photo that is grainy or lighting is horrible...

isn't she a beauty.....

the back I just added strips of corrugated box and distressed it with the distress wheel...
the sides I over lapped them to make shingles effect...here you can see where I tore away some of the paper to expose the ribs...use this as a texture effect...
first paint black with a stiff brush...
use white paint and add water to it for a white wash...using a flowy kind of brush...
then dry brush the pool blue on using a fan brush...
then used distress ink to add more highlights...

I started with the glass in the areas I wanted to emphasize and edge...
sort out the glass pieces per sizes...this really helps in the process of filling them in...I also used super glue....it gives you time to move pieces and dries kind of fast....and glues very well once dried...
the next couple photos shows the direction I was going in...but I didn't like it and changed my mind and used the glass instead of the glass beads...now mind you, the glass beads are still underneath the seahorse..

this is what it would have looked like..minus the tree, flower and ribbon...it just wasn't working for me...
the pieces I used...I doubled every cut and glued them together before I painted...I also added foam board cut up so I could lift the seahorse off of the box...
this was an old tree decoration...I cut the base off and glued it down....I even used supper glue....
these are the tools and embellishments I used...below photos as well...

this is what it would look like without any other embellies....
Well I hope that you enjoyed your visit...and that you will give this a try with your next project...I absolutely love how this box feels in my hands....thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.....hugs from a very warm Charm City....
