It's Friday----- I know, I know...it's been so long since I've posted something here. Things here have been crazy busy. I think we are on a downside for now, so I thought I'd post something for everyone. We lost power last night. Man, do I really hate that. I can live without everything but my fan/air conditioner. I need that so I can sleep at night. So needless to say, I didn't sleep well. Thank goodness it's back on and it's getting cooler in the house. Work is going. This past Sunday we put on an appreciation day for our carriers at this great place on the water. It was really cool, but alot of work. I thought putting on one of our parties here is alot of work. But this went over the top. But well worth it. The carriers have been working so hard out in the field and it was a way for the company to say, thanks. They gave away so many awesom raffle prizes to them. The biggest thing they gave away was a 32" LCD flat screen tv. You know, the ones that you mount on your wall. It was so cool. Not to mention, a computer, laptop, cameras, box seats at O's games and so much other goodies. There were games, face paintings and so much other things going on that day. Just like a little mini carnival without the rides. What a day to remember. And I have pics...lol...now you all knew that, right? Other than that, we have been working on our patio getting it ready for the big summer birthday party here. Tricia and I just threw a baby shower here this past weekend for her helper for scouts. That went very well. Nothing like opening your house to a bunch of people that you don't even know. Planning and setting up a party. And this was the day before our big party for work. We were so out of it come the day after. Yesterday I had the pleasure of going down into the city to run through a route to make sure the paper work was ok for the carrier that has it. And let me tell you, it was such an eye opener. I see all of the pics on tv and in the papers of this area, but nothing is more of an eye opener til you go see it in person. So many living in poverty. I would drive on one block and there would only be 3 houses (row homes) that someone lived in and the rest were all boarded up. People hanging out on the street corners, trash every where not to mention all of the broken glass and what nots in the streets. Then you would go over to the next street, and the homes were very well kept. Painted, flowers and the streets were clean. My heart went out for those people. Knowing that they have to live there because either they can't move because of MONEY, or they won't get enough for their houses because of the area. Not to mention that they probably live in fear of someone breaking into their house to get items/money. It's a drug infested area. And from what I'm told, this is not the worst area that I have to do this in. I have been told that our carriers get mugged, robbed, held at gun point/knife, shot at, have to deal with the rats and other things that go bump in the night. So needless to say, I commend all of them that have to deal with this on a daily basis just so our customers get their morning paper to read. So if you haven't tipped you carrier lately, please do. They deserve it. Some of them work in unplorable conditions. And if your paper is like ours, we run 365 days a year. No matter what the weather conditions are. So my big news lately is that I made the PAPER HOUSE PRODUCTIONS design team. This was so cool. And I really didn't think I would, but I did. Thanks PH, I can't wait to start working with everyone on the team... Here are some things that I have made lately. Nothing special, but some things. Not much scrapping/designing going on here in my room, but summer is almost over,. So I see it getting alittle busier soon...lol... the last 4 layouts are for the design team, Crop Addicts that I'm on. What a great place. Not to mention the kits that she has every month. They are awesom. And I so enjoy getting them every month to create things with. Thanks Debbie and Michon. Love the kits. I hope everyone has had a great summer so far. Try to stay cool and safe!!! Hugs from a very muggy Charm City

As Promised--- Here is a photo of our little newest addition Noah. Isn't he just precious? He's so cute and cuddley. But all he does is sleep as most newborns do. I do have some other photos of him but I'm just to tired to go get the camera and upload them to my computer. So I hope you like this one for now. Our daughter came out the other day for a visit for the week and this is what I woke up to the other morning after they got in late. How cute is that. This is our first grandbaby. Oh how she has grown since my last visit in October back home. She even has hair now. And curley. She has tons of curley hair. She just turned 2 the first of May, so she's well into those dreaded terribles. My house shows it...lol...here she is with a big 'ol cheesey on her face... How can you resist that face. She has the gleem in her eyes and the spunk in her soul. I'm so going to miss them when they go back home. But they will be back in July to go on vacation with us at the beach. So that will be cool. Get to play with her in the sand and surf. Our anniversary was the other day. We went down to a place for dinner where we hadn't been to in so long, Bay Cafe. It's right on the water. What great timing we had. Beautiful day, good food and great company, my husband. We even had a visitor, a duck. She just waddled her way into where we were sitting. Here's some photos from there I'd thought I'd share with you. Ok so yesterday was my birthday. Scott has been getting me for the past week with telling everyone. It first started while we were down at the beach and the DJ's announced it to everyone. Then he called the radio station and if that wasn't enough, he even sent an e-mail to my boss to tell her to make sure everyone at work knew about it. How cruel is that. I mean, I'm not tryin to remember my birthdays anylonger, but trying to forget I even have them anymore. He is not helping here. Did you hear me Scott, you are not helping!!! Now remember, next year I am in hybernation. I will not come out til it has pass. lol...I know you will be doing something since it's a big one...lol... but on a lighter note, we did have a great time yesterday at this place called Dave & Busters. It was way to cool. It's like a grown up chuckie cheese. We played a game of bowling, went to the midway (as they call it) and had a great dinner. This is one place we will be coming back to again. Not to mention they even had a pool hall. Everyone that knows me, knows I love to play pool. Well I hope everyone has enjoyed my little (but long) update. I hope it won't be to long before my next one. Oh, I do have to say though, that I am so stoked about being a finialist for the Paper House Productions design team. I so hope I get on this team. I love so many of the ladies that is already on it and would love to have the chance to design and work with them again. Thank you PHP. You all so ROCK in my book. Well I'm off to get ready for the Thursday meeting I have downtown. I so love sitting in traffic once again. Thank goodness it's only one day a week instead of 5...lol Hugs from Charm City

Happy Monday and Belated Mother's Day Everyone I come to you from my hotel room at the beach over looking the Atlantic Ocean. The sound of the waves hitting up against the shore is just so relaxing. I wanted to share some pics I took this morning of our sunrise. It's been cold and rainy here, so when the sun showed up this morning, I just had to share. The photo of the horses playing I took the other day where I so love to go when we come down. These two were just having a blast chasing each other playing on the beach. I love how they are kicking up the sand underneath their feet. I know I've said this a thousand times before, but if you ever get this way you have to go to Asseteague Island here in Ocean City Maryland. These horses are just so cool. We didn't get to see any of the deer this time, and most of the horses weren't out, but we did get to see these guys. I have some great news to share with everyone. Most already knows but for the ones that don't, my daughter had her baby a couple of weeks back. She had a little baby boy. Noah -Michael Troy Scott-. Yes, you read that right. And that's only his first and middle names. She gave him three names for his middle. After their dad's in her and her husbands life. And their last name is a long one too..So needless to say, I hope he doen't have to write that one to many times in his life...lol...I don't have any pics yet, but as soon as I do I will surely post them. We also have another new addition to our family. My brother in law and S. other just had their baby a few days before Noah to. They had a bouncing baby girl, Sophia Marie. Such a pretty name for a beautiful baby. Here's her photo. So what do you think? Isn't she just the cutest? So this is it for now. Well wait, I do have to say thanks to the ladies the other night at the chat for putting up with me. I was in rare form that night. You see, I don't get out much and let loose like that. So thanks. You all were so cool to hang out with. And I would like to say Happy Belated Mother's Day to you ladies. I don't know where my manners were, but I did forget to tell you all that. And to answer your question to what we were chatting about, YES I DID...lol...you know what I'm talking about...heehee...I might take you up on the offer Rose/Deb...I'm hoping to see you this Saturday at the chat. Love ya gals... Well I hope everyone has a wonderful day/week ahead. Hugs from Charm/Ocean City

Long Awaited Post------It has been brought to my attention that I needed to update my blog from my friends and family. So much has happened this past month that I am so incredibly busy right now. I took a new position with another company and have been busy busy busy.. the hours are so different for me and I'm still trying to adjust to them. But more about that at a later date. I do however want to share some Easter photos I took. We had family over for dinner and an egg hunt with the little ones. I so enjoy watching them hunt for the eggs. Some have money and some have just candy. It's the money that they are looking for. After all of the eggs were found, they sat around to count their change. It was so cool. Update on our daughter in MI. She is due any day now. They are told they are having a boy. So this is soo cool. I finally get a little boy in the family. I so can't wait. My brother in law and his girlfriend is having their baby on Monday. She's having a C section. I hope thing goes well for them. I jsut wish they would wait alittle longer to see if the baby would turn or not before they jump right in to the C section. Oh and they are having a girl. So we are going to be welcoming 2 new babies into our family this year. How exciting. Well I'm going to go for now. I know it's a short post, but am thinking I'm going to go and lay back down for a nap. I hope everyone has a great day. We are getting rain for the next couple of days. I hope you all are getting sunshine. Hugs from Charm City

Congrats to all of the HOF winners... The calls went out yesterday...it was so fun to go on the veggie site and see all of the hoopla...the excitement that everyone had geered up for was finally here...Big CONGRATS to everyone... My class last night was a huge success. The ladies so loved it and it went smoothly with one minor glitch. I spent 6 hrs here at home yesterday morning preparing my kits and directions for it though. The ladies paid me many compliments and said I was very well organized. But they also did mention that they have been to classes where the instructor wasn't organized and they didn't really care for them. So that was a great feeling that they so enjoyed taking my class and I can't wait to see them again in another one. Well CONGRATS again to everyone. I need to run for now. The clock keeps ticking closer and closer to get our little one off to school. Have a great and sunny day... Hugs from Charm City

What a great weekend we had It's Monday and back to reality. We had a great weekend. We went off to the beach to help celebrate their St Patricks Day celebration. And what a celebration it was. We arrived in OC and went to see our condo. Then we headed off to get ready for the festivities at the club we frequent while there. The parade started around noon and lasted for most of 2 hours. It was a great one. All of the creativity with the floats and the costumes were awesom. I took so many photos that I wish I could share all of them, but I'll only post a few. I had so many people checking out my mask and telling me that they loved it. Not to mention, I even made it on the evening news down there. That was really cool and exciting. We went off to the club to hang out for the night. It was one jam packed place. Not a seat in the house was open. Not to mention floor space. Everyone was dressed to the hilt to celebrate. And celebrate we all did. It was a night to remember. We ended up leaving early and going back to our room. I am so glad that we got one right next door. So the walk wasn't far as it seemed like a long one...lol...we got up early the next morning. I love to take sunrise photos, but this was a cloudy and rainy morning so no sunrise photos. But we did head off to breakfast. Scott ended up backing my truck into the cement pole that we were next to. You talk about a sinking feeling. Man, did I feel every little crunch and scrape. I could not believe he did this. The one who is so precise about everything. Oh well, it just shows us that things will happen beyond our control. Nothing alittle work won't fix. (Scott, I know you will read this, I'm not mad. Just still can't believe you had done it...I can't help it that my truck looked so good...lol...after all of the hours I spent on it Friday..) I still love ya... Well I need to run. Hope you all enjoy the photos. I can't wait to scrap them... Hugs from Charm City

The Beginning to a New Week It's Monday here once again. Where does the time go? I thought I'd share some photos that I took yesterday of Kaitlynn and her little friend that she plays with. Scott and I going off to the beach this weekend to a St. Patrick's Day party at the club we hang out at. We went out yesterday to get some materials so I could make some things. We are going all the way. Dressing up to no end. Can't wait til I can share some of the photos when we get back. Here are some of the items we picked up yesterday on the girls. I've spent all last night and this morning working on a couple of projects. They're almost finished and I am so loving how they are turning out. The party is a cross between St. Patty's Day and Mardi Gra. So I can't wait to see how other's will dress up.... Well I'm off for now. I just wanted to do a quick update here to let everyone know that we are still alive and well. Have a great week ahead... Hugs from Charm City

It's Finally Friday Not that it matters to me any longer, but I just thought I'd put that out there for those of you that it matters to. It's been wow these past few weeks. Been crazy busy here. Between work and working on projects. Work was going great until my hip and back started killing me. Was doing a lot of hours working the store, and it was just to much on it I guess. So I had a chat with the acting manager and I'll be doing more classroom things instead so I won't be on them a much. I'm saddened to find out that an LSS that I taught at for years is closing. This Saturday is her last day open. I'm going to make a trip down to see her today and pick up some goodies. She's offering 60% off everything left in the store. I hope there is some good things left. It's quite a hop down to her store. But it'll be nice to see and chat with her again. We haven't chatted in so long. Well I just wanted to pop in here and say HI. I can't wait to share with you the new site that's coming. You'll all love it .... Have a great weekend.... Hugs from Charm City

Wanted to Share some.... (I took this first thing this morning. It's the neighbors little house in their backyard. I just loved the blue against the white snow. And with the trees covered, it looks like a little cabin in the woods...) of our good fortune that we received yesterday and last night. We had alot of fun earlier playing in the snow. The neighbors dog came over for a play date with Mystic to. She is such a playful dog. And huge, is she ever so massive. Her name's Daisy. Kaitlynn's off sledding. Can't wait to see how much fun she had. I got a swap package a week or so ago and these photos will be great with it. I can't wait to play.... Well have a great Sunday!!!! Enjoy all of our white stuff.... Hugs from Charm City!!!! This is my favorite photo
White Pearly Stuff Oh ya BABY!!!!! We got it...I can't believe we finally got some snow. It looks so beautiful outside right now. I just had to take some photos this morning of it. WOOHOO!!! IT'S A SNOW DAY!!!! I can't wait to get out and play. Kaitlynn's SNOW DANCE finally worked this year. The trees are so pretty when they are freshly covered. Not much going on here otherwise. I did finish my layouts for the contest. Now I'm going to start my "C" cards for my ATC swap that I'm in. I know I'm late, but I just had to get these other projects out of the way first. And did everyone hear that Cammy had her baby? Oh my. What a beauty she is too...I just love little babies. They are so precious and innocent. Innocent of the world's demise. Well I just wanted to pop in and say HI. I hope everyone had a wonderful week and even a better week ahead. Here's a couple of photos that I snapped this morning...ENJOY!!! Hugs from a very pretty white Charm City Well the photos aren't uploading right now. I guess something's going on...I just got a report for Kaitlynn, she said we got 12" of snow.....woohoo!!! Let the play time begin...

GOOOOOOOOOO STEELERS!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!! I am so proud of them. I can't believe that they took the game last night...woohoo!!!! At least one of my teams made it...it's been awhile...way to go guys!!! Today is officially my first day at work. I went for another interview last Friday for the assistant managers job at the store, but I didn't come out of it feeling warm and fuzzy. So it's not looking like I'll be getting that position. But I am going to be teaching and working with customers so I am still a happy camper. And I did get a call from the other store that I interviewed with the other day. They were at CHA in Vegas when he called. He said that I will have an offer in the mail this week. So I'm interested in what they are going to offer me for their store. I really want to work for them, but I'm not getting bennis with them. And this is one thing that I needed for my family and I. I guess God works in mysterious ways. Here's a project that I worked on ther other day and thought I'd share it with you all. I just picked up Architectural Decor book by Linda Gillum the other day and was so inspired by her work that I had to try it out. This is one that was in her book. Although I changed the process alittle, it still looks like her project. If you get a chance and want to step outside of your normal box, I would highly suggest getting this book. All it is, is foam (2 different size foam sheets), paint, glaze, newspaper and some glue. What a cool project. And some add your own wall art to your space. I have another in the making that I'm using paper on instead of paint. I'll share that one as soon as I get it finished. I picked up the foam and the book at Michaels in the flower foam isle. It's not the green foam, but the white moldable one. Really fun to work with. Have fun and if you make anything I'd love to check out your projects. Here's another project that I made the other day to. I just picked up some of the C. Cole papers and wanted to make this project. It's not a very good photo, sorry. The can opens up to add some hidden goodies inside for that special person. A great friend of mine is in the hospital and I thought this would be a great thing to send. Instead of regular flowers, this will last forever. I'm thinking about adding a quote/poem on the front. Well I hope you like the projects I've shared. I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead. Thanks for stopping in.. Hugs from a very cold Charm City
