Happy Thursday blogland....I am sharing a project that is near and dear to my heart...this is my first tiny house on wheels...as some know, I am totally in love with thow's...if hubby would come today and say, let's sell everything and build a thow, I would do it in a heartbeat...I truly see myself living in one at some point...I have been doing extensive research on these for years now, and love them more today then I did when I first started. So many benni's to living simply... and I have often thought of building a paper one, but I figured with idea changes, then it wouldn't be what I would want...did that make sense? Any-who, onto my project...
The inspiration for this project was from the darling new Acorn house released by Simply Crafty SVGS (watch the video to see what files I used)...I have a love hate relationship with the squirrels that live in our backyard...they get into so much stuff and I want to ring their necks...and then on the other hand, I really enjoy watching them run up and down the trees and along the fence playing...so, like I mentioned, a love hate relationship...I also needed a new fall piece this year, so it was perfect. So off I went to build my first ever tiny house on wheels...The Nut House....how fitting....lol...Enjoy!!!!
Above is a video...it didn't turn out the best...sorry about that....this project looks so much better in person...
Below are some photos for a better view....there are things that I need to fix....and I do plan on changing out the little paper squirrels with some figuines when I find some....
I used the rails from the pick up truck for the sides...it's suppose to simulate tire walls...and I also dropped the corner fences...instead of being even with the trailer, I dropped them... refer to the first photo...it just looked better and you could see the fire box better...
here's the pillars...I used pop sticks for the outside of them and to the top to make the awning...at which is not attached to the house...it is free standing...and very sturdy...
Every tiny house needs some wheels to haul it, right? LOL ...I cut this squirrel out and glued multi layers together to make it stiff...but I plan on replacing this with a little figure when I find one....so for now, this little fellow is in the drivers seat....lol...
I forgot to take a photo of this opened...this does come off just like the one for the house...it's another gift area...I downsized this one and made it smaller then the house....

Q: Why couldn't the squirrel eat the macadamia nut?
A: It was one tough nut to crack.
If a woman's bra is an "Over-the-Shoulder-Boulder-Holder" and a man's underwear is an "Under-the-Butt-Nut-Hut"...
Then does that make a woman's panties a "Below-the-Patch-Snatch-Hatch?" (sorry couldn't resist this one...)

Well that's all I have for today...I hope everyone has a wonderful day...hugs from a sweet Charm City....
