Macabre Monday HDH063 - Freaker's Free-for-All

Happy Saturday everyone...well it's a little gloomy here....yesterday we lost a co-worker to an accident....she was standing in the back of her pick-up truck, fell and hit her head on the curb just outside of the bed..she had hit her head so hard that they could not revive her while waiting for the ambulance.......she ended up being brain dead when she got to the hospital and shortly thereafter past away...shortly just before that, we were chatting about life together....just about the weekend and the weather and all.....and then not even 5 minutes after I had left work, this happened....this is just another sign to live life to the fullest...and make sure you tell everyone around you how much you care and love them....to be the best possible person you can be.....it's a sad day here, but I am looking for the sun to be shining today as that's how our friend was....very bubbly, happy and always had a smile on her face.....May God be with her family in this time of need....please say a prayer for them.....
**********************************************
....this week over at Haunted House Designs it's a free-for-all....just dark and creepy.... I don't know if you would consider this dark and creepy, but this is what I ended up with.....ENJOY!!!!!!!
Poor Santa is down to his bones and has one last place to deliver presents to and realizes where it is....lol.....this turned out to be a gift box of some sort......no one in particular to give this to either....I have been dying to use this image from Stamp it Crazy....sorry though, I don't think I gave Santa justice......I also used the row homes from Starving Artist--stickles----grass, fence and trees cut from my Expression----- and MS branch punch layered the trees for added texture.....
here's a side view....it's a pretty deep box.... about 2" deep...I used black stripes with Tim Burton in mind......but I'm thinking it needs a trim around the top and bottom to kind of finish it off..... just a view on it's side together.......well that's all I have for today....I'm having dinner and cake (home made apple pie instead...lol) for my Father-In-Law today....he's up here from the beach for a few days and yesterday was his 72nd birthday.....so we wanted to celebrate with him.....I hope everyone has a sunny day....Hugs from Charm City.....

  3. Oh Nancy that is absolutely horrifying. I went through a similar experience a few years ago and it's just ridiculous at how fast it can happen. And you're right - we all should make sure we let our friends and family know how we feel about them. HUGS!!

Your project is absolutely amazing and those trees are yet another thing for me to case! Thanks so much!

  5. I so love your box, but I don't want to seem super-callous by brushing over the loss of your friend. It is shocking and tragic, and I'm sending out thought-hugs to all who knew her, BUT, your box is FAB!!!! I have that image from SIC too, and you've made it look magical! And, lol, I wasgoing to mention both the Burtonesque Dolls Anything Goes challenge, and the Stamp It Crazy santa challenge, but ahem, you already know about them :P
Thanks so much for playing along with our Freaker's Free For All challenge at HDH, and good luck!
