Our Sponsor is Simon Says Stamp, so be sure to stop by the store and grab yourselves some goodies...they have all kinds of them....I'm not enabling or anything...lol....ENJOY!!!!!
First off, I want to say how sorry I am for such poor photography....for the life of me I just could not get any vibrant shots of this card...or my card ealier for TI's....the colors are so much more vibrant and pretty ( I know--pretty is not me...lol)...but I thought this would be a great card for my Mother-In-Law sometime down the road, so pretty had to play a part in it.....lol.....
*************************************
I used a cool free image from Motivet.....and used just the greys for the challenge.....Tim Holtz die flowers, metal arrows and distress inks, Prima paper flowers, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Mamking Memories paper, Spellbinders large circle, Di Bona metal photo corners, other from craft store ribbon and jingle bell.....
*************************************
Well make sure you stop over at PTW and check out what the rest of the designers have made.....and we hope to see you play along with this weeks challenge.......hugs from Charm City......

Tiddly Inks Goodbye Summer, Hello to Fall

woot woot!!!! I love this time of year....I love how it nicely cools down at night, and the colors will start to turn and not to mention my body doesn't swell like it does in the summer. You all know what I'm talking about....so this time of year is very welcoming to me. And what a better way to ring it in as to have a Fall Challenge from Tiddy Inks. So all you need to do is create a FALL project of some sort using images from Tiddly Inks Store. Have Fun and ENJOY!!!!!!
For the image I used Peek A Boo Bugg....now isn't she just too cute....I wanted this a little rustic so I distressed the edges of my papers and added ink....I used a clear stamp from Studio G as my greeting, Martha Stewart border punch and used distress inks to color in my image.......so come on down and play along this week with us at Tiddly Inks.....you'll feel the difference in the air.....lol....and make sure you leave some love for my fellow team members........hugs from Charm City........

Stamp It Crazy Challenge#3

Well here we are, week #3 for Stamp It Crazy...I love it....have you been over there lately to check out the stamps that Barb has in her store....they are way too cool...I just love them, and MUST have them ALL,....lol...no, I'm not a greedy person, but when you like something why not get it...or them...heehee.....
Well this week's challenge was to use metal--ribbon--and a triangle...just for an added twist...I loved that added twist,.....it made me put my thinking caps on.....here's what I ended up with...ENJOY!!!!!!!!
here I used the digi Red Hood...now if she isn't a cutie I don't know what is....she's just darling and I really enjoyed coloring her in......the triangles at the top were cut from my Expression machine using Celebration cart along with the letters and fence ( sorry forgot which carts those were from).....I made a ribbon flower and added a tag that reads, trick or treat-smell my feet....lol....doesn't it make ya wonder what she's wearing under that dress for shoes...lol.....
here's a closer view of the tag....I used a stamp from Recollections....and I also have another triangle as part of the picture frame holder........
********************************************************
Well I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. Make sure you stop over and check out the rest of the design teams creations....It's going to be another gorgeous day here on the east coast.......Hugs from Charm City

HDH053 - Pink on the Brink

How's it going blog land? It looks like it's going to be a beautiful kind of day here....The sun is shining and it's even cool outside...I hope your day is as pretty as ours is here.....I have a card I'd like to share that I made for Haunted Design House's Pink challenge this week. This was alot of fun to make....I got out my UTTEE to play with and made the cracked glass effect on the stamped circle....if I remember, there's 6 layers of uttee and then I popped it into the refrigerator. But you know what I hate, is that every time I play with this and use an image with a face, no matter how hard I try not to crack the face, walla--it cracks.....ARGH!!!! ........ENJOY!!!!!!!!
here I used the Tim Holtz technique using distress ink pad (worn lipstick) and water for the pink.....I cut up a Manila folder to make my card....I also used distress black soot crackle paint for the black, added some Vaseline to remove some of it in spots to show the branches I stamped underneath.....but stupid me, you know I'm a dork right, well I dried the paint using my heat gun before I removed the paint from those sections and it ended up a mess. You really can't see the branches to much....oh well, I still kind of like how it turned out....I also used some Holtz filmstrip, removed some windows and hung some chandelier glass from it at the bottom....
closer view of the cracked glass effect........I made a second stamp of the little girl (paper artsy--ancestors--plate #2) and cut the wings out and popped them up (on top of the uttee) like they are crashing through the glass.....
here's the top of the tag with more filmstrip and glass that I used to thread the button with....well that's it for today....I hope everyone has an awesome and sunny kind of day today.......hugs from Charm City........

Tiddly Inks---Back to School

Happy Tuesday Blogland.......... The challenge this week at Tiddly Inks is to make a back to school project....I used A Plus Avenger from the Tiddly Inks store that Christy just released.....isn't she a doll? I just love these little Avenger girls.....so hop on over and check out what's there...you will surely love all of them.....ENJOY!!!!!!!!
I decided to make a signature book so that I can keep track of my books that I listen to....I have noticed that when I go to the library, that I check out books that I have already listened to....so I thought this would be a great way to try and keep them straight.....I used 2 sticks that I just got from my back yard and a piece of hand dyed muslin using tea bags.....the grass and the cloud is from somewhere else that I can't remember who it belongs to....I know, shame on me....I really wish I could remember I would love to give them credit for them....the 2 little birdies are from the craft store that were actually little ornaments....I used distress inks to color everything in.....
here's the side view....you can see that I have 5 signatures with 3 pages in each one.....I sewed them together using ribbon and waxed thread.....and just added the red thread as an accent.....
here's the book standing up....

here's the inside....I used a Tim Holtz school notebook stamp and a book mark .......Well that's all I have for now....be sure to stop back later for my Paper Take Challenge....I used a couple more of Christy's images for that one......until then...Hugs from Charm City.........

HDH052-- Stamp It Crazy

Welcome back....how fitting is this challenge over at Haunted Design House. This week the challenge over there is to use 3 stamps/digi's on a project from Stamp It Crazy....and you all know just how I love those stamps over at there....LOV ' EM.....I was happy as flies on **** that I was able to make the challenge this week........ENJOY!!!!!!
**************************************
Just showing the dimention of using the Martha Stewert border punches and bowing them outward to create a 3-d effect......the bottom irongate punch is the card itself and then I added another layer on top of that.......
here's the front of the card...I used Missy--Skull Sicko from the digi section and Goth 17 (Jack Skeleton heads) and Goth 16 ( inside card skull) from the rubber stamp section....the neighborhood stamp is from Starving Artists and the Lantern Stamp is from Inkadinkadoo and scratches from Tim Holtz....colored everything in with distress inks...and used the crooked fence and icecycle border punches for the top border......and then I just pierced holes all the way around the circle for added dots....
Just had a little fun playing with the background.....thanks Barb...those dots on your Simply Betty card made me do this....lol......Well that's all I have for today...I think we are off school shopping...DH just tex'd me from the other room and wants to go shopping....believe that, a man that's asking to go shopping....lol....have a wonderful day blogland!!!!! Hugs from a muggy charm city....

Stamp it Crazy Challenge #2--Girls with Attitude

Holy Smacks Batman...we are in challenge #2 over at Stamp It Crazy Challenge Blog.......Did you all have fun last week? I know we all did....But this is a new week and we are in for a blast from the past kind of challenge.....**Attitude Recipe**...but with a 70's feel to it.....here are the deets for the challenge....
***********************
It must contain a girl, ribbon, Retro flower and a sentiment.......you can use any stamp/digi you would like...so come on over and join in this week....the prize is this darling digi image that I used below called Savanna.......you can also purchase other cool stamps and digi's from Barb in the Store....... ENJOY!!!!!!!
*********************
woot woot...here she is Savanna....hence the name on her license plate...well that was suppose to be a license plate that is.....I was flipping through my book of templates and came across this template for the car and thought of this card right away so I just had to trace and cut this out.........I also used Martha Stewert border punch and distress inks to color in the digi......I went and found a free 70's font and printed off the greeting and sentiment that's on the inside of the card with a couple dingbats.....

here's the inside.....super simple.......well that's all I have for now.......Life around here has been really crazy with the parties and all....yesterday was our last party and now we are in back to school mode.....I tell ya, I soo can't wait to get back on to a schedule it isn't funny...I'm counting down the days...I don't know about you, but for me I look forward to summer but then about half way through I really look forward to school getting back in session.....it seems like we don't have a schedule during the summer and it throws everything off balance.....so in a little over a week, she goes back ( insert BIG 'ol smiley face here)......lol......... Anywhoo----Make sure you stop over at SIC's challenge blog and play along with us and visit the rest of the design team....their cards are just awesome......Have a wonderful Sunday!!!!! Hugs from Charm City......

PaperTake Weekly Sketch #46 Challenge

Happy Tuesday........This week at PTW we have a sketch for you to use and we are being sponsored by Whiff Of Joy. They have some great images to play with, so make sure you stop over. I had alot of fun playing with this sketch. And I used those darling images from Simply Betty that she just released the other day for a new collection. They are the Back to School Emos and they are simply adorable....so click here and check them out....ENJOY!!!!!!!!!
.......................................................................

I used Cosmo Cricket paper along with Tiddly Inks schoolhouse digi and a tiki huts rubber stamp from Stamp Scapes.....greeting I believe is from Studio G....colored everything in with distress inks........well that's all I have for today....Hugs from Charm City.....

Tiddly Inks-- Movie Magic Challenge

WooHoo...you are in for another great challenge this week-- Movie Magic... The challenge over at Tiddly Inks was to create a card inspired by your favorite summer movie! I'm not much into t.v...... And for the life of me, I really couldn't think of a single movie to make something with for this challenge. So instead of a movie, I went with a collection of books that I listen to on cd's. I wish they would make a movie out of this girl ...I think it would make for some great comical viewing....It's called The Goldy Schulz Series . She's a caterer and it seems like no matter what catering job she has, there is always something that goes wrong/murder happening....she's so comical yet very high strung....I loved this collection and I look forward to the next when it comes out....so I took one of Chrisy's newest images, Cup of Love-the Lilly Bean series that I thought portrays Goldy........isn't she just the cutest? I used a Let's Celebrate greeting as I thought of Goldy saying that in her series.....most often Caterers cater parties to celebrate something.....
...........................................................................
Well that's what I have for the challenge this week....make sure you stop on over and visit the rest of the DT's creations......then hop over to the store and purchase these little darlings for yourself. Christy is offering 20% off with a minimum purchase of $15.00.....

Stamp It Crazy Challenge

WOOT WOOT!!!! I was asked to be on the new design team at Stamp it Crazy....Barb is just so fun and I really love her stamps and digi's she has in her STORE. You really need to pop over and check out all that yumminess...
...................................................................................................
The theme this week is Boys have Cooties.....we were asked the use the digi image Cindy...isn't she just soo cute....I just love that she has only the top two teeth visible...I used Microsoft word to add my greeting inside her little sign before I printed her off......I also used the Alcohol Ink Faux Bleaching Technique from SCS, but instead of using alcohol inks, I just used distress inks with my sponge and a circle cut out of cardstock to make the background. I rubber stamped the flowers (Tim Holtz), clear embossed, used the sponge to put on the colors then used the mini iron to iron off the embossing powder. It's such a simple technique and I like how it stands out from the background....I cut up an old Manila folder to make the tag and background paper and used the distressing tool (Tim Holtz).....ENJOY!!!!!!
I told ya she was a cutie.....lol.... here's a closer view of the tag..I used metal tape and ran it through my Dymo Label punch (dream) and attached it to a clear button with paper backed.... .................................................................................. Well, I hope you stop by and check out the rest of the Design Team.....they have some amazing projects to share.....and then pop over to the Store and check out what Barb has to offer.........Hugs from Charm City

PaperTake Weekly Challenge--Something Old-New and Something Blue

This week at PTW , the challenge is to make something old--new--borrowed--blue.....and our sponsor is coming from Wiff of Joy.....now if you haven't been over there, then you really should...they have the most darling stamps and digi's........ENJOY!!!!!!!
the giraffe I got from Little Mussings. Isn't it just darling? She was offering this a free download....so hop on over and check out her blog.....she's awesome!!!!! I even used more copis to color this card in......I am loving that it doesn't take me long to color in the images, but I guess that's because I don't' have to shade like the rest of you.....I know for me, it takes forever to color in a card using distress inks...with the shading and all...so I know for you copic users it must take as long.....anywhoo--just rambling on...sorry about that....so stop on over at Papertake Weekly and check out what the rest of the team has created....and make sure you send them some lovin too.....Have a great week!!!!! Hugs from Charm City........

Tiddly Inks Window Challenge

WOOT WOOT!!!! This is my first post with Tiddly Inks as a Guest Designer (WOOT WOOT!!! Thanks Christy for inviting me), how cool is that....I really enjoy using your images....it's like they speak to me....lol....just imagine that while you're sleeping, you have this dream of those funky trees swooshing in the wind from side to side while you, the masked avenger, is trying to find your way back to the par-ta at The Light. And the whole way back you have to fight off all that Gothic Cuteness that is trying to stop you from getting back to your date with Mr. Snowman Sid (come on now--you just had to know I needed a snowman in there somewhere...lol).....When you came across Lilly, and she reminded you of WHo Loves You, that got you more determined to get away from The Inky Boys, and get back alive, to be with your Friends and eat some of those scrumptious cupcake's.....
................................................
Ha Ha!!!! Had 'ya going, didn't I...lol.....I really don't dream about images.....well not to date anyways.....I do however try to use them in ways other than what they are intended for.....so if you click on the names above in the little dream, it will take you to the links in the store so you can see for yourself how darling these images are to play with.....you truly won't be disappointed.....or you can click here and be taken right to the store.....Christy is offering a 20% off a $15.00 order.....so what the heck are you waiting for.....GO--NOW!!!!! LOL!!!!! On a lighter note---Here's my card for this weeks challenge which was to make a window project.....ENJOY!!!!!!!!!
.................................................
Here I used the Sunny Hugg A Bug image....and, yep, I used Copics again...and a little distress inks....cut a window from the front of the card and added the image to the opening....
here's the inside....just a super simple little card....I really like how it turned out....
............................................
Well-- make sure you pop over to Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Inksters have made......And again, Thank you Christy!!...it's an honor to be a Guest Designer with you and your Design Team (and Miss Donna--WOOT WOOT!!!)..........Hugs from Charm City........

HDH050 - Foul Flutterings

It's Thursday morning---do you know where your children are? ..lol... Hi Peeps....I just wanted to pop in here and share the card I made for the challenge over at Haunted Design House--Macabre Monday.....The challenge was to make something using wings--anything--the creepier the better........and this is what I came up with........SLUT-EZ (inspiration in a can to help clean up your reputation....lol....).......ENJOY!!!!!
..............................

I know---you are all thinking--what in the hell is this...lol....And believe me, I'm asking myself the same thing. What in the world was I thinking....well let's start by saying...I went digging through my older unloved rubber stamps and came across this set of art parts by Sunday Inc. ..I remember at the time of buying these (about 3-4 years ago) that I had no idea what I was going to do with them...but I knew I just had to have them....the other day I went searching for the web site to get some inspiration (and inspiration I got..).......the beach huts ( little mussings ) I am using for outhouses....to kind of go along with the "can" theme....lol....hense the "occupied/vacant signs....the cloud and grass are from Make it Crafty.....used distress ink refills and Tinkering Ink for the pattern paper.....stickles and alot of pop dots....

this got a little dark where the slogan is....I tried to use the ink from the printer to highlight the words but I used to much water..... just a closer view of the frog lady.....
this is the inside....I just had to use the slogan from Hallmark for the inside...I thought it was so fitting....
here are the different rubber stamps that I used from the set.....
................................................
Well that's all I have for today....remember to stop by tomorrow for the blog hop at Simply Betty Stamps Challenge Blog......hugs from a very "HOT" Charm City........

Woot woot! So be sure to join us at the SBS Blog on Friday for more fun and chances to win the new digis!
So come on over and play along this week with the Dolls.....ENJOY!!!!!!
My inspiration came from the movie Alice in Wonderland. I haven't seen the movie yet ( I know, I'm such a bad Doll) but I have watched movie clips and searched for photos for inspiration. I really loved how the Red Queen looked so I wanted to use her. I truly love this get up that she wears....not to mention "red" is my favorite color..... isn't she just so serious, not to mention punchy in the above photo....gotta love that hair....lol....I don't think I could have lived back in the Victorian age...they wore to many clothes and lived with no air conditioner....

this is the inside.....the quote I found on the net and I thought it really fit this photo...it looks like something that the Red Queen would think....lol....

.............................................................

Well that's all I have for now...make sure you stop over at TBD to see what the other Dolls made....and don't forget to come back by to check out my PaperTake Weekly challenge.......Have a great day...Hugs from Charm City.....

Stamp It Crazy Challenge

Happy Sunday Peeps....
I wanted to pop in here and share these 2 cards I made for the challenge over at Stamp It Crazy's blog. Barb is giving away some great candy---RUBBAH baby!!! Lol... If by chance you haven't made it to the store yet, you really should. She has some great images that's all rubbah but then she offers some just as awesomely (is that even a word...) digi stamps....The 2 images I used below are digi's....I had seen that she had another challenge posted so I went searching for a couple new images to play with.......ENJOY!!!!!!
There's quite a story behind these two cards. I actually first started making the card below. Then I decided I didn't like it and made another card....same thing with this one, I didn't like where it was going. So I went back to the other card to try and "find my way"....lol....worked on it and then started to work on this card at the same time all the time coming and going from working around the house......I told you--there was a story behind these......then one day I came across a video with Diana Crick using the score buddy and decided to try it to see if that would work for me on the black cardstock on the card above...so there's the border, very simple but I like it.........I used my Making Memories paper distresser wheel and followed the groves on the buddy....and walah!!! Great technique...I'm going to use this more often now....lol....anywhoooo, I ended up with two cards so I thought I would just post both of them....
................................................................................................
this sweet digi is called Dorrie....I thought she was fun....and then I came across this one liner on the net, and thought it was perfect for a friend card....a friend giving another advice on a husband/boyfriend/guy situation....get my drift....lol.....if you can't convince them (by talking) then confuse them (with big bubbies)....we all know how men are....lol....I thought this was a perfect quote for this image...
this is a free-standing card....I used the instructions over on SCS but I added an inch to my short side of the cardstock to make this card wider...I'm so sorry, I did write the dimensions down but I lost my scratch paper somewhere in this mess..... here's the card folder flat... ................................................................................. and here's my second card...a little playful and cute for a young'n for Halloween....the colors weren't happening for me though....I think it's how dark the sky ended up...I don't know....this ended up being a slider card to....if you know me, you know I love dimension and anything that moves....lol....the image I used is called bighandfrank.......isn't he just so cool? ..... click on his name and scroll down and you'll see him....I used another joke and background haunted house photo (coloring page) from the internet....
this is the open view with the answer...........
just a side view of card opening.....
...........................................................
Well that's all I have today......so come on by at Stamp It Crazy blog, there's still a few hours left to play along......I'm off and running once again....we're still in the middle of re-organizing inside and out....we have our little one's birthday bash coming this month on top of a few other's.....have a great Sunday!!!!! Hugs from a very sweet Charm City....
