DudeTime Doodles Blog Hop

This is the event of the year! Come and join in the fun. It's our first official monthly New Release Blog Hop. You will see all of the new release digi's on the last day of the month. But for today, there are 2 freebies. But you have to go hunting for them. Visit the blogs to find the 2 freebies and make sure you leave comments for the other prizes.... Stop by DudeTime Doodles to get the scoop on all of the other prizes.....and for one lucky commenter here will win Mr. Tom Tom....now isn't he just the cutest....love the tude...lol....good luck!!!!

And as stated above, there are freebies along the way....and here is one of them....all you have to do is right click and save to your computer....this will be removed after the hop is over......ENJOY!!!!!!! *******************************************

This blog hop does not have a start and ending point. So no matter where you hop, you are in the right place. Just keep hopping until you get back to the original location.....and after you have finished and come back here, just make sure you stop at DTD blog and see what's happening...then visit the store and grab yourselves some of those darling images you just seen and make some cards for that man in your life....after all it is football and deer season...turkey season is right around the corner...but you can use these images in other ways than what they were intended for to. ..........ENJOY!!!!!!!
********************************
Now look at Pilgrim Paul....doesn't he look ready to go hunting..he reminds me of a cartoon way back when with Elmer Fudd and how he would go off hunting.....that's what I think when I look at him. It's game day for the hunters looking for their first turkey of the season. So as I'm thinking of how I wanted to use him, I thought of him standing outside of the Turkey Mansions waiting for the biggest, fastest turkey of them all. Mr. Tom Tom....the one that eludes him every year.....lol....calling out to Tom to come out and play....

*****************************

other images (which are rubber) are from Starving Artists (background)--Magnolia (beach fence)--Stamp Scapes (pebbles)

and this is Mr. Tom Tom inside his home looking at his calendar realizing what time of year it is....and remembering that he is retired....lol....when I first seen this image, WTF was the first thing that came to mind. like, how dare you.....lol....

***********************************

other images are from Starving Artist(backboard-rub-plant) and Magnolia(chair-jars), I colored everything in with distress inks, alpha's are from Making Memories and computer generated....I wanted to keep it simple since it is a manly card. I don't know about your man, but mine is simple. Give him a beer, the remote and something neck 'id (as Jeff Foxworthy very elegantly puts it...lol)....oops, I shouldn't have said that....

******************************************

left this side basically blank. *************************************

And here's a little side cart...lol...I used the same images (except the background and lighthouse images) and made a different scene....it's a spin off of the one above....this is Mr. Tom giving Pilgrim Paul the boot out of the Community...it's a retiree community for those birds that got away . And now they are to old to play any more so they all congregate here under armed guards to keep the hunters away....lol....

*************************************

I change the direction of Mr. Tom in my software program. All I did was a flip, copy and paste into MS Word to print it off. I cut the calendar off of this image to....you can see the original here....I used the beach scene from Make it Crafty, lighthouse from Tiddly Inks and branches from StampScapes......it ended up being on the dark side again...seems like I've had a heavy hand lately with the water and colors get muddled together....sorry about that...

****************************************

Well your next stop is over at Tammy's Blog ......go and see what scrumptious she has to offer.......and make sure you stop in the store @ Bonniebleaux Designs........ and then stop back at the challenge blog Dude Time Doodles.....We hope you enjoy your journey and get some inspiration for those guy cards for that man in your life.......Hugs from Charm City.....

Trick or Treat

This is a Halloween card from Me to you (blogland)...I hope you like it..Happy Halloween.......ENJOY!!!!!

I used the Spooky Hallow Damien dig from Simply Betty Stamps...printed, cut out and added pop dots behind some of it....the frame and greeting were cut from water color paper on my Expression...and I can't even remember which carts they are from...sorry about that....but I think they are from Happy Hauntings....that's what's in the machine...lol....bottle caps are from Lil Davis Designs...colored everything in with distress inks.....
I added black stickles to the words to have them stand out abit more..... and yep, you see it...lol...I bowed out the top portion of the frame once again...I bet you all are getting tired of seeing this, aren't you....but I am so addicted to this little added dimension...it's FREE and EASY to do to your cards....and it gives them so much more than if you would just use pop dots or even leave your pieces flat....what do you think? ************************** Well that's all I have for now....I have another post coming later tonight for the DudeTime Doodles blog hop tonight...so be on the look out for that as well.....Hugs from a windy Charm City....

I am so Happy--Happy--Happy that I actually got to make a card for a couple of challenges -- Macabre Monday and Make it Crafty...I haven't had much time lately to participate in other challenges so this is a welcomed change....and I just had to use images from Bonibleaux Designs Digis (Gabby Goblin--Mr Bones Jangle and the barbed wire background circle) which are so fun....this opens up to an easel card with pop up images.....
view of the front closed This is the card opened...I added some MS/EK Success border punches, some black webbing (thanks Glo-I finally found some), and a darling Glo Skullz (thanks again girl), printed onto water color paper and colored everything in with distress inks. Bat and kitty are from Recollections.... just a closer view of the front here's a side view of the easel...... ***************** Well have a happy Sunday, Stop over at Haunted Design House and check out the rest of the entries and DT's creations.... and I hope to see everyone at DudeTime Doodles Challenges.......Hugs from a sunny and bright Charm City......

Stamp it Crazy--Anything Halloween

Happy Sunny Sunday blogland....This week's challenge from Stamp It Crazy is Halloween....We were asked to use the haunted house background (scroll towards bottom of page)and the trio (also rubber) going my way digi's.......ENJOY!!!!!
this is the front of the stair step card....I printed the images and greeting onto water color paper, cut out and added to the card after I sued the Tim Holtz distressing tool....the tree is a die from DCWV that I traced and cut out for the second fold....I used MS/EK Success border punches...this was such a fun card to make.....
this is just a side view so you can see the layers.....
here's the other angel...you can see that I added some pop dots behind the tree so it wouldn't lay flat onto that layer.......
and here is a total different take on the Haunted House background digi.....I was just sitting at my computer with no mojo...this background image was on my computer and I just decided to play abit....I changed the bacground to gray scale and then using the negative filter in Paint Shop Pro, I changed it to negative....how cool is that...I added a gray rectangle over top of the image (this is where I added the photo of our little one)....imported this into MS Word and printed off onto water color paper....now how fun is that...you have your very own, one of a kind, photo frame card.....MS/EK Success border punches, Cricut tree (Happy Hauntings--pg 71--4"--flipped--trimmed way back)...
this is the back with the stand that I made using scrap piece of cardstock....
I left this blank....didn't know what I wanted to add......
*******************
Well, I hope that you stop by and check out the rest of the teams creations. And stop over at the store to pick yourself up some digi's and stamps....there were some that already had the photo frames inside the picture so all you have to do is just add your own photo and print....easy peasy breezy....lol.....hope to see you.....hugs from a sweet sunny Charm City......

Stamp it Crazy--Coke vs. Pepsi Halloween Challenge

Happy Monday blogland....this week over at Stamp it Crazy, we have an awesome challenge for you. It's a Coke vs. Pepsi challenge with a Halloween theme....now let me tell you a little about this challenge....Barb over at SIC is a die hard Pepsi fanatic and I a Coke fanatic...so after checking out her blog with all of her Pepsi "stuff" I thought I would challenge her to a Coke vs. Pepsi challenge....now if you look at the rest of the DT's wonder and creative work this week, they all went for Pepsi...so I have to wonder how much she had to pay them to make a Pepsi card.,....lol....just kidding....and I know I'm late, but better late than never, right? ..... Enjoy!!!!!!! over on the side bar, I would love for you to take the Coke vs. Pepsi Poll......
I just loved this picture when I seen it on the net and had to make sure it ended up here....lol....that poor lil ol Pepsi can...it looks like he took a beatin....lol... and here is my card....now this is nothing like what I had intended...I was going with a 3-d project this week, but little Miss Barb threw in a monkey wrench and it had to be a Halloween theme....and then with being sick and DH changing his 50th birthday party to being held at our house instead of the restaurant (like it was planned) I had to compromise....but I have to say, I really do like the outcome....I used distress inks with a sponge, positive and negative circle cuts, Micheal's Stores puffy stickers, MS border punches and bear and bottle from Stamp It Crazy Store....I don't think these are in the store right now....but there are so many other digi's and rubber stamps that are awesome and must have's for your collection....
just a closer view of the border being wedged outward to give some dimension. Well I do hope that you join us this week for our challenge....come and show us which one you like.....and make sure you stop by to check out the rest of the teams work.... ************************
Have a wonderful day...... Hugs from a sunny Charm City......

Stamp it Crazy--Pumpkin Challenge

Happy Sunday blogland.....and a beautiful Sunday it's going to be.....today is the day for a new challenge at Stamp It Crazy....we were to use the sketched pumpkins along with a black and orange to make a card/project........ENJOY!!!!!!
Here I made a picture frame for the table....all I did was enlarge the digi to 6.5X5 for the bottom layer...but then I copy and pasted the bottom portion with the pumpkins for a second layer, cut them out and added pop dots behind it....cut a window, added transparency and a photo. The pumpkins were colored in using a sponge with distress inks...MS border punches, Zeva pearls and Recollections for that darling kitty...greeting was computer generated.....
**************************************
There are so many possibilities with this image.....why not copy and paste the image and have pumpkins running a border on the bottom....or corner to corner....you can find the sketched pumpkins in the store...scroll down towards the bottom and she's there....she would make for a great addition to your table top to.....
here's what I did to make the back....very simple...I used a piece of cardboard matted it twice with black, bent it in half and glued it down....that's it...easy peasy.... ***************************** We would love for you to stop by and check out the rest of the teams creations...and to play along.......Hope you have a sunny beautiful kind of day!!!! Stamp it Crazy--Challenge#8--Halloween

Oh yes, I've been waiting for this challenge...over at Stamp it Crazy we have an awesome challenge for you by none other than yours truly, Mwah!!! ...lol....this week we would love to see your Halloween projects (sorry, no cards this week), using at least one image from the Store, and in return one lucky player will receive $25.00 bucks to use on digi's....now how cool is that......ENJOY!!!!!!!
**************************************
(This goes out to "you"....you know who you are...read it and weep baby....lol)

I used the darling Zoie that you can purchase from Stamp it Crazy Store....she is just wicked....and I also paired her up with the spider web background and the skull that you can purchase as digi's...on the globe I just printed that off a second time, made it slightly bigger and cut it out...then just pieced the web background on top of that....

*************************************

I made this project into a candy box...you can get the instructions here.....this is soo easy peasy to make....I would love to see what you make using this project with a stamp from the store....come on, you know you would love to have a new candy dish for Halloween....

here's the side view....if you looked at the link , the box in the photo is different...I just opted to only inset the sides partially. Instead of closing them in, to make a box.....I was thinking since Zoie is pretty large in size, that was a way to extend the front so it wasn't so boxy looking....did that make any sense?

here you can use it as a candy dish, or you can even fill it with candy wrapped in a baggie for a treat box...

here's the back view....I used a ribbon to tie the top together in case I want to use it for a gift box.....

*****************************

Well that's all I have for today.....make sure you stop over and see what the rest of the crazy ladies have made....they are just all crazy goodness....Have a sunny Sunday.....hugs from Charm City.....

Paper Cubed and 12 Days of Halloween on SBS

WOOT WOOT!!!! Happy Friday blogland.....now normally I don't use the same project for more than one DT challenge, but I just had to use this one for P3 and 12 Days of Halloween at SBS..so I made this one extra special since it was for two challenges......
*************************************
For the month of October The Burtonesque Dolls and Simply Betty Challenges will come together for this event. There will be a total of 12 challenges, and you will submit your entry at the Simply Betty Challenges blog. You will have just one Day... that's right one full day to complete the day's challenge. The girls and myself will start to vote on the favorites of the day. On the next Day of the 12 days of Halloween the top 12 will be announced, now that doesn't mean that only 12 can enter the next challenge... the next challenge we will once again choose favorites, but this time only 11 will be chosen. That means that someone from the 12 will be eliminated... but again it doesn't mean that you can't participate again because in the next challenge you may bump someone off again. At the end, there will be just one standing! That one person will win the whole SHEBANG! What is the whole Shebang you ask? Well, each day will have a new prize, you won't win that prize on that day instead it will start to pile... and pile and pile until the prize consists of 12 fabulous prizes all together! How's that for a SHEBANG! Just to give you a little more umph the prizes will contain Rubber Stamps, Paper Lines, BRAND NEW SPELLBINDERS, Copics, and lots more goodies! I will make sure to upload a picture of each prize each day to inspire you to continue onto the next challenge just a few days later! So with all that said... let's get started... On the First Day of Halloween My Ghould love gave to me... One smiling Skellington Head! Your challenge is to incorporate one or more Skelletons on your cards or project. Pretty Simple eh? Okay here is the hard part... you have until October 2nd Todays Prize: Three Clear Stamps from the Hebbie Jebbies line by We R Memory Keepers
**********************************************************
This month at Paper Cubed--the challenge was to use Acetate...now how fun is that...and the first thing that came to mind was to make some sort of a candy dish/box.....well I started out to make a bag, but this ended up being a recipe box.....and I cut a window in the center to show case the chocolate pieces....lol....nothing like temptation, wouldn't ya say?......ENJOY!!!!!
We were asked to make something with skeletons on the first day of Halloween over at SBS..... Now I really have to say that I truly love how this project turned out. The skeleton motorcycle stamp is from Class Act which I stamped it onto a piece of grunge paper, tree -- cut from my Expression, and a bunch of ribbon/ danglies from craft store....I made this box from cardstock...I don't have the dimensions...sorry....
here's the inside....I thought of adding the answer to the question on front here, to make it Little more fun......now isn't this just the happiest skeleton you've ever seen....he just makes me smile every time I use him....Skeleton is from Stamp It Crazy......
this is just a side view....you can see the pom pom and beaded trims I used at the top...
here's a view with a big bag of Hersey Kisses inside...
***************************
Thanks for stopping by today....make sure you stop over at P3 and the 12 Days of Halloween to see what the rest of the ladies have created for you.....have a wonderful Friday....hugs from a very soggy Charm City....
